My 9 year old daughter just started taking piano lessons last year, so we purchased this Piano for the Young Beginner Primer B paperback book for her. Her piano teacher, who has been playing and teaching the piano for 20 years, highly recommends Bastein books for learning on. This is the only brand we will buy for our daughter since she is learning so easily with them. The book has pretty good illustrations too. These songs are easy for her to master and are helping her grow at a good pace. It took her a couple months to master all the songs. It is nice to learn

As a degree professional, I highly recommend Bastian method books for any age studying the piano. No other method series will encompass what the youngest beginner needs and also offer material for older beginners as well. I highly recommend all the Bastian books.

I usually do not teach young beginners, but this request compelled me, so I went to a tried & true method book for the very young-Bastien. Glad I did.

My daughter started w book A and she is almost done w B. She does have a piano teacher that helps her once a week. It’s been 5 weeks and it’s going pretty quick. I’m happy with it.

This book was recommended by the teacher for my child who is just starting to learn the piano. So far, after only two lessons, my child finds it very easy to play.
