My partner and I started going to therapy, and our counselor recommended these cards to us. We've been using them, usually 5-10 cards at a time, off and on over the past few months.Things they have helped us with:Communication - these cards encourage both of us to communicate things with each other that we other might not, or might not think to. Having little prompts gives us small topics to come together on and discuss. Some questions are hard, and the conversation following them can offer growth opportunities, while some questions are fun and light, and bring levity back to the conversation. Opening up and talking to each other about everything has given us both a new perspective on having conversations, whether difficult or not, outside of the game.Bonding opportunity - coming together to do something for ourselves and our relationship has made me feel closer to my partner. Sitting on our bed and being vulnerable with each other has reminded me, or has even taught me, why we are together and why we work so well. The lighter questions, in particular, gave us an opportunity to be playful and have fun with each other, offering some lightness and fun in the way we interacted with each other, which made me feel closer to him.Something to do other than staring at a screen at night: Sometimes we will turn off the TV in the evening and pick up a few cards to engage with one another. We both have busy lives, so turning on the TV and melting into the couch has been our nightly routine after tiring days, but sometimes we opt to sit on our bed and go through a small stack of these cards. Doing something mentally active with one another at the end of the day is such a nice alternative to staring at our TV screen and just existing next to each other. We both want to continue to work to strengthen our relationship, and this is just a nice way be together and do some work while having fun.I highly recommend these to anyone in a serious relationship. You'll feel closer to your partner and have even greater hope for your future together.

I have a friend who loves to bring out the friends version of this card set during hangouts with new and old friends, so I decided to buy the couples' set to try with my boyfriend. We've been together for 1 year but struggle with talking about more vulnerable issues. I thought my boyfriend would be nervous about trying this, but as soon as he saw it, he was excited and wanted to try it right away. We spent an hour or two and got through about half of the cards. Some of the cards were a little repetitive and not all of them applied to us, but overall it was a fun way to talk about some of the more serious topics that we've been putting off.I will say that there are a few cards that could be problematic depending on your particular relationship dynamics and insecurities, so if you're worried, it might be worth going through the cards beforehand and setting aside the ones that might cause issues for you. The goal is to bring you closer together and help you communicate, so there's no need to set yourself up for a fight.

I brought this along on a weekend getaway and it was such a great addition. We really enjoyed using it to get to know each other better. Some of the questions are light and fun, while others are more serious and make you pause to think about how well you truly know your partner. I also loved that it was small enough to slip into my bag and take on the trip.

This was a really good game to reconnect with my husband and make it through a few tough conversations. We had a couple drinks to loosen up and then played through all the cards.

These are fun question cards that get you communicating with your partner. Easy to use instructions. Good quality. Some of the questions didn't apply to us, but overall they were enlightening.

Got these as a second set for my parents.Husband and I have one set. We have the red pack and this one, we mix the cards bc THE BLACK ONES ARE TENSE. So we like a little levity in the mix. 15 minutes maybe once a week really helps with those who don’t really open up.But talk about learning your partner. Love itt!

My spouse and I love these games. Rather than playing in the traditional way, we spilt the deck and randomly pull out a card or send a picture of one to start a spontaneous conversation. It might take us a couple months to go through an entire deck, be we really enjoy the experience, and it draws us closer together. Unfortunately, this company has some of the worst, most revolting cards we've ever seen. We ordered both the Couples Edition and the Long-Term Couples Edition. We thought they would have fun, maybe borderline spicy questions, but instead we got ones as pictured. Call me old fashioned, but I'm not sharing my spouse with anyone, nor am I ever inviting anyone into our bed, so this is a revolting question, in my opinion. After splitting the deck, the first three cards we each looked at disgusted both of us and we immediately threw out the Couples Edition deck and promptly returned the Long-Term Couples Edition. If you're like us, go with the BETTER TOGETHER Couples Conversation Cards Game or the Why Don't We - Spice IT UP card game. These are much better games, which are fun to play and don't have inappropriate/offensive questions, although the Spice It Up deck is a little risque ; )

I am a couples therapist and I wouldn’t recommend this set for couples who are seeking a deeper connection. The questions are divisive in nature. I think the creators thought they were getting “deep”, but they are more confrontational than connective.

My boyfriend and I are long distance, so we got these to use on our FaceTime calls and love them.I was a bit worried that we would get through these too quickly, but there is so many card and you can get into long, thoughtful discussions with each one. I saw this company has other types, and I’d definitely consider getting those as well!

I really enjoy this set if cards. I've used it a few times and it's always had excellent questions and the conversations have always been enjoyable and enlightening and thoughtful/introspective.
