I have a beautiful, stainless steel, kettle style, charcoal bbq at home. For various reasons, we don’t have an electric or gas oven that we can use in the summer, so we rely on our BBQ for cooking meat for much of the year. This does mean though that I am very picky when it comes to cooking over charcoal. My wife and I recently went away on a Canal boat holiday, and as we are so used to cooking on a bbq, we decided to buy a portable one to take with us, so that we could cook by the tow path if we wished to. This Webber portable was simply fantastic. I used a small gas blow torch to light the charcoal, and once it was alight, the top and bottom vents made controlling the burn really easy. The kettle style lid is IMHO essential, as it enables you to cook meat properly without burning it. The two top vents and the two lower vents made shutting things down really easy too, which was a great way of saving charcoal after you had actually cooked what you wanted to. It also cooled down really quickly once you shut it down. The unit is well made, easy to assemble and easy to clean, and perhaps most importantly, it works well and is sturdily built. I am absolutely delighted with it, and can therefore thoroughly recommend it without hesitation.. We did buy the optional carry bag and I would suggest any owner does the same. It is big enough to hold the BBQ itself plus some cleaning items, tongs and some spare charcoal in a bag if needed. 10/10, it really is an excellent piece of kit and does its job well.

Awesome little portable grill, have used a number of times now and extremely happy with the results. Used extensively on holiday to feed 6 adults and 3 kids. Holds enough charcoal to stay hot for a good few hours. Grill is big enough for about 8 burgers direct, half that for indirect, even got 3 sea bass on it! Quite a bit more expensive than others on the market but it’s a Weber and you get exactly what you expect.

Bought to take away and use when we go away in Campervan. Fab size for the two of us. Easy to store and easy to transport and clean. Pricy but brilliant and would absolutely recommend. Many a happy bbq / camping breakfast / pizza (we bought a pizza stone for it which works perfectly). Our favourite is buying a big rump steak from the butcher and cooking it outside on this. We have catered for up to 6 on this small bbq - absolutely brilliant.

I recently purchased the Weber Go-Anywhere Barbecue Grill, and I am beyond satisfied with my decision. Ok, I have had this for a couple of months and have been impressed. It is easy to carry and fold up although the latch is starting to get a little loose. Plus I haven't done this 'hot' on the beach and as the lid doesn't lock on you have to waiting until cool. A great additional feature would be storing a 'bag' of coals inside ready but even the Weber bags won't fit neatly which is a shame as they do burn really well and my BBQ coal of choice. There is a plate in the bottom which keeps the hot coals off the base. This appears to be sacrificial as it is warping. However this has deteriorated further and maybe the way it is - just a bit surprised. The metal grate on which the coals sit has bent under the heat and weight of the coals and this is a surprise and disappointment. I wouldn't have expected this and I now turn it over to try and get the bend to even out. The griddle is rusting as it has been left out once or twice and so when coupled with the grate it relates to a 'quality' issue. Bit disappointed but not a show stopper. Easy to clean - have put the lid and griddle in dishwasher! Perhaps not recommended but it works for me! One thing to remember is the height of the griddle is fixed and low so you don't need many coals or you burn the food. Hmmm, irrespective of these points I would buy another. It cooks well, the paper manual is basic and informative for a novice like me and with some experimentation I am enjoying the experience of trying different things. Using a chimney to light loose coals is a God-send and as said before the Weber ones work well and don't taste the food.

Good product and very sturdy on the outside. Didn't give 5 stars because the grill grate is not as good as expected. It was difficult to clean and the stainless steel coating got a bit removed after 2/3 uses.
