Marathon Bars High Protein Caramel Nut Rush, 2.82oz Bars(Pack of 12)

I ordered these bars based on a recommendation from a dietitian I have been seeing. I recently learned I am type II diabetic and am managing with diet and exercise. My routine now is to count carbs and make sure I get enough protein. These bars work great for a breakfast meal. I can eat it at home in the morning as I get ready for work, or I can take it on the go. It tastes good and is very filling. I've been using them for over a month now and I've get to get tired of them. I'll be ordering more and I'd definitely recommend them if they meet your needs.

These things are sooooo good, you would not even believe they are protein bars. Probably has something to do with all the sugar that comes with the protein, but as a power snack, if you are running or riding, etc., they are the best. I was hoping for a little better bulk discount, but it is still worth the price.

I ordered these for my daughter who loves the old style, with the snickers logo... but when they arrived they did not have the logo like the picture on your site, and they do not taste the same. It's like they have changed their formula - probably why they no longer have the 'Snickers' logo on the packaging. Not happy - but I assume she can't return them???

My husband is just an average middle aged man who's trying to lose some weight and doesn't always have time to eat properly. He has started substituting a Marathon Caramel Nut protein bar for breakfast or lunch on a fairly regular basis, and he likes them better than any other bar he has tried. A bar will take him until dinner usually with no hunger or cravings, and he has lost a significant amount of weight between the bars and trying not to snack as much at night. I've tried them, and they really are good and filling -- they're quite large!As I am writing this, Amazon's price is $15.60 for a 12 pk, with shipping at $1.99 total, even if you order several boxes. They come in a nice little reusable "cold" bag with a reusable gel pack in the box. The only other place I know of that you can buy these is at WalMart, SOMETIMES. Most of the time they seem to be out. But the price for 2 boxes of 6 at WalMart is the exactly the same as a box of 12 from Amazon, and I think they may charge tax at WalMart, so this price is really the best that you will find anywhere.I recommend these protein bars for taste (almost like a candy bar), amount of protein (20 grams), and price.

The taste is OK, but definitely not as easy to chew as a regular Snickers. I don't like protein bars that make my teeth sink in them and make me feel like I'm pulling my teeth out of hard caramel (I don't refrigerate protein bars. I keep them in ideal temperature). If the final texture has something to do with delivery, then it was just my luck.I've tried few protein bars and most of them fail to deliver the "taste" they promise. The only one that I found easy to eat, tastes great and doesn't upset my stomach was Detour.Again, to be fair to this product, it's better than most protein bars but as I said earlier I was expecting an easy eat, like a regular Snickers.

While great for keeping blood sugar steady, tons of protein and enough fiber, it was a tad gritty. But aren't most protein bars?

This is a great energy bar if you are looking for something that is packed with protein and doesnt taste like chalk or old taffy. It has an authentic peanut buttery and caramel taste, sorta Snickers-ish, but not that much. Kinda high on the calories, but its very dense, and even half a bar will make you feel full. After eating one, I felt full for hours. The best energy bar I have tasted and really delivers the energy and protein.

My husband wanted these for after his workouts. We have purchased many brands and types of protein bars over the years. These don't have a chemical taste like some and they don't taste like cardboard.20 grams and 10 grams of fiber. 290 calories.The calories are a bit on the higher side, but the bars contain real ingredients, no fake sugars.
