Do these work well over daylight type light bulbs ?

Hi, not sure, but we have the LED colour change bulbs and the light is true just "softer". The diffuser is optional, you do not have to fit it.

Does it fit into a standard ceiling robe fitting

Yes they do. There are three shades of varying size which I have put in the hallway and up the stairs starting with the smallest at the bottom of the stairs, middle size on the landing and large size at the top of the stairs. I was very pleased with them.

Does it take a 100watt bulb

It states a max 60 watt bulb so I would not risk the 100 Watt bulb, I must say they are perfect, a light cream sturdy & look a good quality, mine have just arrived so just going to put them up they are very bright & I know I shall love them, I have just moved into a new build bungalow which is all very light walls flooring so love it . hope this helps a little, Jacqueline
