MICHELINRapid 12262 Tyre Inflator

I've had one of these for several years and it's still like new despite regular use on the households cars and bikes. I bought this as a present for my daughter around xmas time as she has now moved out, delivery wasnt quick as I recall, but that was perhaps my fault for ordering so near to xmas. These are a great pump, sturdy and well designed, highly recommended in my opinion.

Can't realy fault this unit. Reasonably quiet, easy to use. The screw on thread to the valve was new to me! since removing it you do tend to loose a little air trying to unscrew it quick enough, but it pumps up a vehicle tyre pretty quick. So overall, happy with purchase

I like the design of this product which is well put together and practical. Other plusses are the quiet but efficient operation, switchable units (PSI or BAR), clear LCD display and easy storage of the cables when not in use. Only minus in my experience so far is the screw-on air hose attachment - this is easy enough to attach when access to the target valve is unimpeded but awkward if you can't get your fingers to the right area and then apply rapid twisting over at least 3 revolutions. Obviously this is crucial after inflation to avoid letting more than a little air out on disconnection. You develop a knack with practice but, on balance, I think I prefer a clamp arrangement.

The unit I received is working flawlessly and the pressure set cut off works as described. The guage shows 1.5lb above the set pressure when working then the guage drops down to the set pressure when the unit stops. It will do this three or four times and then when the unit stops and the pressure is correct it will stop pumping. The unit sits very stable on the floor and the leads are plenty long enough to service all wheels on a mk 5 mondeo. The cable storage compartment has ample capacity so there's no need to squash the cable in order to fit it inside. It makes a fair noise, as do all compressors of this type but it is quieter than most.

I bought this on the strength of the Michelin name. Unfortunately, when I connected it up to my car's 12V socket and followed the instructions to set it up and pressed the on/off switch, nothing happened. It didn't want to register any presses of the up/down buttons to set a pressure. Eventually I got the pressure to change by holding the buttons down for a prolonged period, but when I pressed the "go" button, no dice. I disconnected, reconnected, reset the unit as in the instructions and tried again, all to avail. Even programming in 41psi (just to test) didn't work. So it's back to Amazon with it.Even if it had worked, I wouldn't have been that impressed - you have to screw the connector on to your valve and when I did this, a fair bit of air did escape from the tyre. At the start, it was at 35psi and by the time I'd finished trying to get the thing to work, it was down to 32psi. Perhaps this is a quirk of the TPMS sensors on my car (which double up as the valves), but on the cheap no-name inflator I got from my local motor factor, the air loss is minimal.All in all, very disappointing. It's not easy to use and quality seems suspect. It looks pretty nice though, and tidies away nicely - the 12V connector goes in a hatch in the bottom and the hose coils around the unit and then clips into place.

Handy to have and easy to use.Tyre pressure is accurate however when you fill and ready to remove nozzle it will leave around 2 psi so best to put it up by 2 or 3 psi.

I was reluctant to get this inflator, but I am glad I finally did. I have been using this inflator for over one year. I haven't tried other inflators but I don't have to because this is just perfect for what I need it for. It does the job and it fits in perfectly in my car trunk. It has back light display, the readings are accurate, it is fast. The only negative will be that, its a bit noisy but it is something you can live with. Another perfect tool for a DIY enthusiast.

This is a really useful Tyre infiltrator with an ability to switch from PSI, Bar, KPa on the display. Just set your required value, screw the connector to the valve and switch on. The device will stop when it reaches the correct pressure, then power off and unscrew the connector from the value - simple. The values are accurate despite other people saying their not. My car has internal pressure testing for all four Tyre's and these report the same values. Recommended - used multiple times now over the last four years - still going strong.

Compressore da me già conosciuto: per anni ho utilizzato la versione con manometro separato che ha funzionato egregiamente fino alla caduta in acqua. Costretto alla sostituzione ho preferito optare per questa versione. Il compressore è utilissimo in viaggio con traino, quando occorre variare la pressione dei pneumatici: con rimorchio collegato è necessario gonfiare i pneumatici per poi riportarli alla pressione standard a rimorchio sganciato. Validissimo il sistema a vite di collegamento alla valvola che permette una misurazione precisa.

Perfecto. Justo lo que andaba buscando. Pequeño, ligero y va bien de potencia.La única pega que le pondría es el pequeño departamento en donde se guardan los adaptadores para distintos tipos de válvulas.

L'ho appena provato e l'ho trovato comodo per il fatto che misura la pressione del pneumatico e, se necessario, la riporta al valore voluto che è possibile preimpostare; dopo di che si ferma.

Resuelve muy bien, cuando acaba de inchar proporciona un extra de 0,5, para cuando quitamos la conexión y queda compesada la perdida de aire, he probado varios y lo mismo el anterior de bomba manual o este nuevo son mucho mejores que los demas.

Está bien porque es más pequeño de lo que pensaba, y funciona correctamente. La parte negativa es que el conector que va a la válvula del neumático es a rosca, con lo que mientras lo desenroscas al quitarlo, siempre pierdes algo de presión. Es un detalle fácilmente mejorable que sorprende en un aparato de esta gama.
