Fantastic set of quality sketching and drawing pencils in a handy tin. Great value for money.

Pencils are good have enjoyed drawing with them. The downside is the wood is soft and chunks can come off when sharpening, leaving an uneven finish around the lead. Make sure you have a sharp sharpener.

High quality, absolutely perfect for what I need. No complaints.

The reason Derwent has the best graphite pencils in the World (in my opinion) is because they have their own private quarry, that's one way of stopping your competitors from copying your product. I have tried many different brands of professional pencils over the years and none have come close to being as good as Derwents, the way the graphite lays down on the paper is great but it's nothing compared to the way they blend, if you have a look at the pictures I have uploaded you can see how smoothly they blend on portraits, on the Angelina Jolie picture I tell you how I got the finish I did, I have yet to find another pencil that comes close to the blending quality of these, if you get a paper stump and blend along the grain of the way you have drawn then you will leave some texture but if you blend with your stump 90 degrees across the way you have drawn you will get a very very smooth finish which is perfect for doing skin in portraits and the former is for doing hair or fur, whether you are a beginner or a professional artist you will not be disappointed with these pencils you really can't go wrong...I keep writing to them to sell just their leads to us as I prefer to use clutch pencil lead holders 2mm but as yet they won't sell them to me. I believe they are missing out on a whole market there but I don't know why they wont do it?, it wont cost them any more they already have the leads, just doesn't make sense why they wont do it???...happy drawing Boshy.

I fully recommend these pencils if you are serious about sketching and design. Excellent quality superior to most other pencils. I have used many before and these are by far superior. Other Derwent products are an excellent choice too. Please don't waste money on cheaper sets s you will only have to keep replacing them due to inferior graphite mediums. The tin is a little flimsy but I put my ones in a standing rack in grade order and not just put in a tub. It's worth the effort for a piece of mind. It's advisable to try each grade on a test paper to see which would suit your need first even though there's a rule of thumb by artist s etc but the choice is yours. The pencils won't let you down. If a little care is taken.

Just the beginning of my dog portrait in the photos just give an idea of how good they work , I always use these pencils on slight textured paper , some people review that the derwent range break easily I never have this problem always sharpen by turning the sharpener never the pencil hope this helps , they are a little expensive but the quality is fantastic, good full range in the large tin , easy to hold and great for any new artists

Livraison nickel ! Les crayon sont parfait! Certain sous en double le HB,le 3B et le 2H il me semble. Parfait pour les dessins,ce taille bien. Je recommande pour les amoureux d'art.

As such the pencils are great. The lead is smooth and the dark shades are very nice. Having used lead pencils for the most part of my life I feel that the wood for these pencils could have been of better quality. Derwent is such an excellent brand and I don’t mind paying a higher price for better quality pencils. I have not sharpened these pencils yet so it’s possible that I am over reacting. Over all they are very good for sketching.

It is very soft and blends very easily....worth the price...just loved it....if you are pro in sketching just go ahead for it...u would love it.....

La prima cosa che mi ha colpito di questo prodotto è senza dubbio la confezione, in metallo ed incredibilmente resistente oltre che elegante ovviamente. Si tratta di un prodotto di alta qualità incredibilmente professionale. Si tratta di una confezione da 24 pezzi contenti una svariata infinita di matite come: (9B a 9H, (2 x 2H, HB, 2B, 4B etc.). Davvero resistenti e perfette per chi ha la necessità di una matita molto resistente e affidabile per i propri capolavori. Purtroppo l'unico problema di questo genere di matite è la punta, bisogna fare attenzione al temperino da utilizzare a causa della mina molto fragile. Si tratta di un prodotto originale identificabili grazie alla loro striscia arancione angolata per una facile identificazione. Sono perfette per bozzetti, ombreggiatura e per aggiungere definizione agli schizzi.

These pencils are good and you don't need any smudging to make hyperrealistic drawing. They can draw and blend.
