Great book to learn from as I am a beginner and I find these books very easy to understand and follow.

I decided to have some piano / keyboard lessons. My teacher bases all her instruction on this book. I have been very impressed with the way it is laid out and the way in which it helps you progress. It does this by a small amount of music theory with practice sessions on popular songs. The songs are arranged in such a way that you don't have to learn everything at once - but you are led on in an ordered progression. Well worth the money.

This book is very good for the purpose, however downloading on to the kindle is a mistake. Some of the instructions cannot be read as it is poor quality print. I have tried downloading to my laptop but it does not improve the quality. I have tried increasing the font but for some reason you are unable to do this. It did show me that this the right book for me and I have been able to purchased in hard back.

Very good for beginners

I learnt with these books as a child. Purchased a keyboard again as an adult and this was naturally my first choice of book/music. Sadly returned as mine jumped from page 44 to 47 so I was missing two pages of two songs. But would be a great book to start out with if learning or refreshing

This is a great book for anyone learning how to read lead sheets, but not classical notation. If you want an introduction to playing popular music, this is the way to go. Traditional piano pedagogy is more geared toward learning classical music, and I find that adult students are disappointed when they realize that pop/rock piano is completely different. In modern keyboard music, you need to know the chord symbols and you need to be able to come up with your own left hand rhythms. Classical training is insufficient when it comes to this. As a teacher, I always had a hard time finding a beginner-friendly way to teach lead sheets. This book is the only one I can find that does the job.

El texto en ingles es muy facil de seguir y cuenta con unos graficos muy explicativos. Lo veo muy recomendable para los que empezamos, justo lo que queria. Comprendo perfectamente que lo utilicen masivamente los profesores de musica (yo tambien he sido profesor y se la ayuda que supone algo como este libro)
