Kidde C3010 10-Year Carbon Monoxide Detector, White, 6Packs

We ordered this Kidde carbon monoxide detector as an exact replacement for one that ran to the end of its expected life of almost ten years. The new one was delivered on time, mounted easily on the same bracket as the old one and, when I tested it, it worked. Its too early to comment on its longevity and, of course, I hope never to need it in real life.

C3010 date of mfg: 2020,06,03Permanent battery. Very small and lightweight.Cannot be disabled by a person who doesn't want it to chirp, or what-have-you.Thorough documentation (in the super small printer font suggestive of zero concern for people who cannot see as well as they once did. ;)Took careful photographs of all words printed on this CO detector gadget before installing it.Fit exactly on same spacing of the old CO detector.The two fasteners for the Kidde KN-COB-B-LP (the replaced unit) are spaced exactly the same as the reviewed item, Kidde C3010.That was helpful. ;)The unit weighs very little.Hardly any room to write in month and year for the 'replace by' date, on the side of the unit.Instrux say to vacuum it often, ostensibly to clean it of dust.They didn't include a vacuum cleaner, though. ;).Would buy again. Tamper proof design (and Kidde brand) made this one the obvious choice.Meant to last up to ten years.I'll be giving it a solid six years; no more.

Is a detector that works.

Great buy, this was a replacement order. My last one lasted 7 years 1 month.

Easy to charge and read. Nice size for travel. Good quality and value.
