So delighted with this Firefly 2KW Free Standing Patio Out Door Heater. Works a treat. We use it at night up to 12.am on the porch as we sit enjoying a drink or just night time quiet reflection in the garden lit up by your solar powered coloured lights, a comfort for the UK. Stands quite tall (re adjustable height control). Three heat settings, so far only needed one bar. This is a handy heater can be used in the home, we have very very high ceilings so is quite safe and handy for a quick blast of heat when those summer UK evenings come in cold. This is safe with pets, because the heater itself is 7 to 8 ft high (or more if you wish) and NONE of the lower parts of the heater becomes warm. The heavy base ensures the heater cannot topple over. The base will need to be attached when it arrives and is easy to put together. On checking, the heater is so far quite cheap to run. The Firefly is made to UK and EU safety standards which also includes a special coating to protect the heating barswith a special coating to prevent the rest of the item from rusting when kept permantly outside. We use the specially made Firefly Rust & Dust Cover bought seperately. So pleased with this item we would definitely consider buying another. Arrived within 24 hours of order, well packaged. Highly recommend.

As mentioned by other reviewers, this product may be a little light on power, however I was aware of this, and in fact it perfectly meets my needs. |more likely is that the effective heating area is 10m2 rather than the 15 quoted, The power cord came in at approx. 2.7m which is a little on the short side, but this is nothing tat an extension lead can fix.Assembly was straightforward, though I would recommend sliding out the "extendable" part of the pole prior to fixing the top section to the middle one. The base is sturdy and weighty enough to support the pole and heater. The "fixing" screws from the top of the base are a little poor, however the main fixing unit (bolt type) from below is quite adequate.Like some others, I did notice that the power level display is not in line with the window, but you can see it, and it really is not the sort of problem that some would suggest.All in all a nice little thing, well priced, and ticks the boxes that I was looking for.

I bought this heater for our balcony to keep us warm during the chilly autumn months based on the very good & numerous 5 star reviews! Haven't had much chance yet to try it out but after assembly and plugging it in it seems to kick out a lot of heat. Assembly was challenging as the instruction sheet is less than helpful but managed it in the end. It seems sturdy and well made for the price but only time will tell?

I bought this to enhance the heat on my patio dining area.First time I used it, I wasn't too impressed, but that was most probably down to the cool breeze coming in from the North Sea coast that evening.Second time out, we had to turn it down a couple of notches as our patio was too warm!We also have a chimenea on our patio, which we wouldn't do without, but this heater boosted the warmth we now feel on a cooler evening and means we have a wider "warmth zone".The heater it's self took around 5 minutes to put together, plug in and have working. It is a little larger than I thought it would be, but this is no bad thing.Don't expect blazing heat, but do expect it to take the chill out of the air and make your outdoor occasion warmer and more comfortable.With barbeque season upon us properly now, we shall be using this a lot more.The stand is sturdy with the adjustable pole also being a handy feature

Excellent little heater for the price. We have one on our outside covered deck and regularly sit outside under it several times a day, all year round and it keeps us toasty! You need to be realistic about the area it will cover, the further away you sit, the less you'll feel it but for the price you can't go wrong. This is the third heater I've bought from this company (got one for my sister and two for us) and delivery has been consistently faster than stated. Arrives well packaged, easy to put together and well constructed and solid feeling when complete. Love it.

Rubbish, don't buy if you intend to use this outside in an uncovered environment.The heat is substantial if you stand right next to the lamp, but it fades away to virtually nothing within only a couple of feet. We found that a person sitting in a chair set right in front of the heat lamp (angled and adjusted appropriately) felt some small amount of heat, but nobody else nearby lamp benefited at all. This was on the highest setting, the others might as well be ignored.Assembly should have been simple enough but the instructions fail to point out that one of the three poles includes an internal height adjusting pole that's critical to the assembly. This might not be a problem for most people, but with our product the insert became jammed within the third pole because of a bunch of rogue styrofoam beads. The instructions don't indicate this internal pole exists at all, so we thought the product was defective until a couple of beads came loose.As it turns out the product wasn't defective for assembly purposes, but it's a complete waste of money for uncovered outdoor use.
