Pretty decent!
My buddy's very old 15 inch LCD monitor was finally kicking the bucket. For years I tried to get him to upgrade it, but he was in love with his little Dell. It was a great monitor at the time, but it's time had come when he tried to play a game on it, a dark game, and he saw NOTHING. Yup, it was just about burned out. He's not very technologically savvy and was almost immediately lost when he went to Best Buy. So I went with him the next time and we did some window shopping. He saw features he liked in most of them, some he didn't and from that I formed an idea of what he needed for his budget. This one fit the budget and had the features he really needed. Set up was pretty simple. The brightness on it is cranked all the way up, and it fades to black 1/2 way down, so this monitor doesn't have a lot of brightness overhead, but it's decent on max brightness. The stand is like my own Dell monitor, not the most stable, but provided you don't have kids or cats jumping all over the place, you should be fine. If you have little kids, cats and or dogs, I don't advise this monitor because of the somewhat wobbly base. He seemed happy while playing his new dark game, and I left him happy blasting away at the goons in the game lol!

Other than that it is a Nice looking screen tho
I was hesitant to get an LED screen. As others have stated the interface buttons on the button are very difficult and frustrating to work with. The screen is very bright and clear. Kind of too bright in my opinion (thus the hesitation on switching to LED from LCD). Looking back I would have just got a 1920x1080 LCD. Other than that it is a Nice looking screen tho. Centered, and clear. Exterior build looks and feels really nice.

Faulty Philips monitor -- looks nice but...
Looks nice & but doesn't work & have to send it back -- actually bought 2 of them, both are going back. Plugged it in & it said 'no video input' and then went into 'sleep mode'.Looked on the Internet & it seems quite a few people had the same problem with Philips monitors.Tried it on two computers & got the same result. Don't have time to waste on such a faulty product.

Good screen, Weak Stand and Poor Packaging
I just finished setting two of these up in my office. The screen itself looks as good as any other modern monitor but the stand is very weak. The circular base is easy enough to attach, but one of the stands is loose where it attaches to the back of the monitor and there is no way to tighten or adjust it there. So the monitor can wobble a bit from side to site. Also, they package these things with a ridiculous amount of protective plastic wrap that took me about 10 minutes to get off of each monitor. It looks like they put the protective plastic-wrap on the individual pieces of the monitor before the pieces are assembled because it was stuck in the "seams" in several spots and it was very difficult to remove. I know this is trivial, but it was very annoying. One last "observation" is that power and settings buttons are nearly impossible to see. This may actually be a plus for some users, but in my office I expect that the users will be asking how the heck to change the settings or turn the thing on or off if they need to.I'm hoping we get a good long life out of these monitors but I wont be ordering this model again.

Good Monitor for Everyday PC Activities.
Works great as an inexpensive monitor for our desktop PC. Nothing fancy, but get the job done flawlessly. Using it with a Cybertron Borg Desktop PC.

just as expected
so ive had this monitor for maybe 2 months now hooked up to my mbp since the screen on that is destroyed(using an adapter). everything so far is as advertised. color and picture are great. turns on pretty fast when it receives a signal from the mac. it could have more inputs and thats the only reason i give it 4 stars.

Working great, nice picture
Working great, nice picture, everything as advertised. Bezel is shiny(shows dust and fingerprints), speakers are utilitarian, stand isn't earthquake-proof --- if any of these things are deal-breakers for you, get something else.
