Trixie Large Wooden Digging Tower for Pet Hamster, 25 × 24 × 20 cm

Bought this product for my roborovski dwarf hamster to keep him busy. It was much larger than expected and came ready assembled. The provided ladder was a bit too large for my hamster (better suited for a Syrian hamster) but I used bridges and he can easily get up now. The hamster loves to burrow in it and has now made his bed in the top!

It's larger than I thought, you need a tall cage to accommodate it. Our hamster,Elsie loves burrowing in it. I would recommend it

It's a great toy, I fill mine with shavings and nuggets for my Degus and let them have a good scrounge for their nuggets. They seem to enjoy it. Only problem I had was that when it arrived and I went to peel the plastic off the perspex I found that there was a small hole in the perspex. I assume it was there when it was packaged though because the box wasn't damaged. I didn't bother doing anything about it as I couldn't be bothered trying to re-package the thing to post it back to the seller so I just use it as is, it hasn't harmed my boys so I'm okay with it. But it's a good size for Degus to get in and out of the top hole. Not sure about the bottom bit, none of my four have ever tried getting through the bottom part but I'd say they'd be able to fit through if they wanted. It is quite large so if you want to leave it in a cage you'd need quite a big one.

my rats absolutely love this, four of them will squeeze in and sleep snuggled together and they love to dig into whatever I fill it with (mainly shredded paper) the can squeeze out of the back and even though they have nibbled on the wood it is highly durable after a year of having it in the cage. The wooden bit from the bottom that slides out did warp a little due to it getting wet from when the rats urinate in there on the odd occasion but it is still going strong. Absolutely love it and enjoy watching them play.

I purchased this lovely dig box sadly when it got to me and I opened the packet I found a dead beetle in the package. It looked like a bark beetle. It was only one but couldn’t take the risk of using it if it was infested. I also called Trixie to make them aware that there may be an issue.

Great size if you have a large cage/enclosure 👍🏻 My Syrian Hamster really enjoys digging and climbing on it. I hide mealworms inside it occasionally for her to explore and forage.

It's great for the money, really good size for our Syrian hamster but unfortunately one side of the perspex was broken.....we can still use it so I'm not faffing around sending it back.....to my daughter's annoyance. The next one may b damaged! As this seems to b a problem for a fair few people when it's delivered. Will still give it 5stars because it's great.....one of the better hamster houses on the market 😊

This thing is hazardous. The glue holding it together is visible at several points, making it easy for your pet to chew on. The wood is of poor quality and severely splintered. I tried sanding the wood to remove the splinters and discovered that it's painted. I don't know whether the paint is toxic to small animals or not, but judging from the quality of the rest of the product, I doubt the manufacturers gave much thought to what paint they used. I should also note that during the sanding process I found some mold underneath the paint. Look elsewhere. This is overpriced garbage.

Item came way bigger than i was expecting. my dwarf hamster loves digging through it. he gets to the bottom and runs back to the top again to make a different tunnel. Came larger, faster than expected, made of good quality materials, and works as intended. a Good buy in my opinion.
