this was just perfect, didn't need any install, plug and play, did my backup no problem, recommended

It works. Very fast really. Copying from it to my laptop it reached 90 MB/s but it was half plenty. I hope it keeps on going so fast! Mind that it's very little it's 14 cm x 9 cm. Perfect. It's my third verbatim external hard disk, I would say, go for it have no doubts.

Used for backing up photos. Will get another drive for backup and Archiving my work and personal files.

I was attracted to this unit as it could backup both MAC and Windows computer files, it will back up MAC from system 10.4 onwards which is quite old by today's standards, but there are quite a few G3 and later computers using the old type of pre-Intel OS, so this super capacity unit 2TB (as opposed to a G5 standard HD of 60GB) is pretty amazing.Al l did was create a new folder for each machine and copied and pasted in files to back up so simple as it could be. Worked well on my HP laptop for backing up files, so this is a really useful thing to have. I will buy another as a backup part 2 as it is such a good unit.Highly recommend it.

Using as a storage expansion for my Xbox One

this harddrive has given me the worst head ache. please invest your moeny elsewhere in the better more reliable brands e.g lacie

Possiedo questo Hardisk esterno da ormai 2 anni e non è il primo Hardisk di questa marca che possiedo (ne ho un altro da 1 TB che uso ormai da oltre un decennio!).Mai avuto problemi di nessun tipo, mai perso un file salvato, mai avuto problemi di installazione o di compatibilità!Ovviamente come ogni cosa delicata bisogna avere un minimo di accortezza nel non lasciarli in ambienti non adatti o a rischio cadute.Per quanto mi riguarda non ne faccio un uso quotidiano perché li utilizzo come archivi da cui poi attingere alla bisogna, e finora Verbatim per me è stato sinonimo di garanzia! Consigliato anche per il rapporto qualità/prezzo

J'attendais avec impatience un vrai disque dur pour faire mes sauvegardes pc.Je le branche et tente de sauvegarder un premier fichier de 1GB mais la copie s'arrête après 15mn (taux de transfert très lent) et Windows 11 me dit qu'il est impossible d'écrire sur le HDD.je me connecte au disque et lance l'application Verbatim mais elle plante.J'essaye un formatage Windows en NTFS puis en EXFAT sans succès, Windows me dit qu'il ne peut pas faire le formatage.Je lance l'application MiniTool Partition Wizard que j'utilise pour mes clés USB et demande une analyse du disque dur : 99.99% des secteurs sont défectueux !!!Disque secoué pendant la livraison ou pendant le stockage ??50€ pour rien..Je vais tenter un retour..

Acheté pour ma fiancé.Rien à redire, léger, 2TO, pas cher, très bonne qualité.
