For me personally this is perfect... I have a combination lock on my locker at work but in order to use it I have to twist my head round to use it because the numbers are only viewable on the side and I also need a torch because of poor lighting and to make things more awkward I need to put on my reading glasses to see the bloody lock as the numbers are small.When your carrying a large bag full of ratchet straps and night out gear (I am lorry driver) and the floor is wet and dirty it a royal pain trying to do all of the above even with a key padalock.. This is simple to use with one hand and I can be looking elsewhere whilst I enter the combination.The only thing I would advise is instead of drawing arrows on a piece of paper to recall code.. I use 12.3.6 and 9 to record positions.. Hence up right down left is easier to write down as 12.3.6.9.Brilliant idea... Works well and if like me you still cannot read instructions because even with reading glasses I am still unable to read it... Youtube... Lots of videos on how to use and reset.

I have bought two of these and neither has worked for different reasons. The first would not open, not even once to remove it from the packaging! My whole family has tried, and we are normally pretty good at following instructions! It just will not open..... so I sent it back and ordered another one. This time it opened (so I knew the previous one was broken and it wasn't just me!!) but now I can't get it to lock again! No one can! These locks are just rubbish. B&Q stock this range but not this lock - I wonder why? Was a nice idea in theory but the quality is shocking.

The product is a good product however, I believe the one I have been delivered to be faulty. I have previously purchased these locks before with no issue, however this one isn’t opening! I have open it using the factory setting, set my own as with previous locks and then closed it. When coming to test, it’s not open since!

The lock is great, a brilliant idea especially for me after shower without my glasses I had no chance of opening the padlock not being able to see the numbers! But this padlock ticks all the boxes, so why 4 star? BECAUSE OF it's packaging, is this a joke? Why putting the instructions so unbelievably impossible to get to? I'm not exaggerating, it took me, my daughter and my toolbox more than 15 minutes to get to the instruction paper and guess what; it came out in pieces! Seriously it's not funny!

Great padlocks, easy to operate one handed and good enough to keep most thieves at bay. Perfect for the sort of place or thing you might not bother to lock yet strong enough to keep unwanteds out. Mathematically more difficult to crack than a number lock although the probability is higher i.e. it's 4 to the power of 4 rather than 10 to the power of 4 but it's really difficult to crack as you can't remember what combination you did.

This is my second Masterlock. The first one we had for almost 10 years but when it started looking tatty we bought this one to replace it. Its lasted 5 months! now I can't open my gate as the code for the lock no longer works. I will now have to pay some one to come out and cut through the lock. Very dissapointed as having this lock allows me to keep the gate locked at all times and the window cleaner can just let himself in. Won't be buying again

This lock has so many things going for it. It looks great, feels nice in the hands and the black looks great! The packaging is minimal however was very frustrating to get the lock free then having to use a cutter to cut into the bottom of the packaging to try and find the instructions which was a very thin piece of paper folded into a billion times. Like WHY?!? WHY!!!So each of these locks comes with their own individual combination by factory default. I know because I had previously bought another one and had tried using the same printing combination to open the second one up. Fail.Anyhow, I carry my lock in the outer pocket of my bag and use it for the gym. My bag is waterproof and when it rained one day i thought ok, let's make sure the lock is working all good before heading off to the gym and put some preventative WD40. I mean, it's mechanical right?! What moving parts machine doesn't like a bit of lubrication to make things move around nicely?Well, it seems this lock doesn't like it. At the gym I couldn't unlock the lock to get my belongings out. It took me 30 minutes to finally open the lock and then I thought I use the pool and sort out the lock after. This time, I couldn't get it open again. What an embarrassment and waste of time. In the end I had to buy another normal combination lock at the gym which cost me another £10!I should have never bought this lock to begin with. And yes I know how to use this lock and reset it etc... It's just a lock that likes to fail you. Period

I really thought this was a great idea as an alternative to a combination or key, which can be too fiddly. My son is disabled and hasn’t got the greatest fine motor skills. He needs a padlock for college, and this looked promising.Firstly the packaging is possibly the worst I have ever come across (and I’ve wrestled my way through some Gordian knots at Christmas). You can’t get the padlock off the packaging until you have literally hacked your way into where the instructions have been sealed in thick plastic. In the process of trying to extract the instructions , you’ll probably damage them ( and yourself) in particular the top right hand corner where your individual code is cleverly hidden well away from the written instructions on how to open the lock. No where in the instructions on how to open your lock for the first time, does it mention that the code IS IN THE TOP RIGHT HAND CORNER!Once you have navigated through the instructions and reset your code, the lock does work, but it takes more force to open it than it should, and is therefore not much use for its intended market.It does look nice though.

Först och främst, akta så du inte river sönder lappen med din personliga kod när du får den, lätt hänt då förpackningen är väldigt svåröppnad. Hade oerhört svåra problem med att öppna den, gjorde flera försök, kollade instruktionsvideo och bad andra personer om hjälp. Till slut insåg jag att jag gjort rätt hela tiden men att låset sitter väldigt hårt och man måste dra ordentligt för att få upp det. Kan ha oändligt långa kombinationer, men jag vet inte om jag vågar byta kod eftersom förflyttningsknappen i mitten är lite ryckig och gör man fel är den omöjlig att öppna.

Inizialmente le istruzioni non hanno aiutato a capire il funzionamento . Poi su you tube ho trovato il video è tutto e’ stato più semplice . Mettete in un posto sicuro la sequenza di apertura . 😜

Nonostante alcune recensioni, l'ho comunque acquistato perchè stanca dei lucchetti con combinazione numerica (microscopica), per non parlare di quelli con chiavi che in piscina sono impossibili da poter gestire. Il lucchetto è bello massiccio, dotato di istruzioni chiarissime e spiegazioni passo passo su come aprire, resettare, cambiare la combinazione. L'unica accortezza è non pasticciare con la combinazione prima di aver aperto con garbo lo sportellino della confezione, posizionato in basso e posteriormente, perchè lì c'è il bugiardino con le indicazioni.E' ben evidenziato da un rettangolo tratteggiato.Sono contenta, ottimo acquisto.

Eins muss ich gleich vorweg nehmen: ich liebe Richtungsschlösser! Ich finde sie deutlich praktischer als die Variante mit Schlüssel. Wie oft ist schon ein Schlüssel abhanden gekommen oder wurde vergessen...Das Schloss ist sehr robust, hat einen dicken Bügel und ist einwandfrei verarbeitet.Die Bedienung ist kinderleicht: den Bügel 2mal reindrücken, um das Schloss zu "reseten", dann die gewählte Richtungskombination eingeben, aufziehen, fertig!Auch der Mechanismus, um eine eigene Kombination einzugeben, ist einfach umzusetzen.Die Verpackung war ein wenig frustrierend und schwer zu öffnen, aber das tut der Sache keinen Abbruch. Alles in allem ein super Schloss und daher 5 Sterne!
