Works perfect
Getting a little older, I wanted a shower head in my upstairs bathroom since my only shower is downstairs. In case the steps to the shower get too much for me. Husband installed it no problems.

The diverter works great - even at lower pressure
I purchased this item mostly so that I could have a tub faucet with a diverter (to make it easier to wash my dog in the tub). The diverter on this faucet works great which is why I am so pleased with this purchase. I am very pleased that this diverter seems to work well at lower water pressure settings as I am using this to wash a sensitive dog. There are two downsides for me using this faucet as a tub faucet / filler:(1) It lacks an aerator screen at the end if its spout which results in a rather sloppy water flow compared to a previous faucet with an aerator. This is not a deal-breaker for me but worth mentioning.(2) The faucet is about one or two inches shorter than the faucet that it is replacing. The shortcoming is completely on me for not measuring but could also be representative of the downsizing of products to deal with increased production costs. Depending on your install, you probably want to visualize how far the back of the spout opening will be from the wall of your tub as the overall product length might mislead your decision.Overall, I am satisfied with this purchase and would highly recommend it to dog-owners adding shower heads or "water-paws" to their tubs for indoor cleanings.

Mediocre and Overpriced Product
The product worked and is mechanically sturdy, so I will give it 4 stars. But I do have complaints ...First, there is a set screw to anchor a collar to 1/2-inch copper pipe. The instructions indicate not to overtighten, or you may damage the pipe. I didn't overtighten, but I did deform the pipe (just a little, and certainly not enough to lower the cross-sectional area by a percent or two or three). The problem with this mechanical arrangement is that copper is a soft metal, and it is easy to deform. "Don't overtighten" is too vague.A similar product (but without the hose output) from American Standard has a much more clever mechanical arrangement. Their product uses a screw with a stop so it is impossible to deform the copper pipe more than a little. American Standard recognized the dangers of a set screw with a very soft underlying metal. Delta did not.Second, the water output is "dribbly" and along the edges of the final opening, even with high water flow. Delta could have done a better mechanical job of keeping the water output in a neater stream.Third, the product is overpriced. A similar product from American Standard (with a diverter but without the hose output) is half the price. The product absolutely functions. I just feel that Delta could have done a better job.

A Cheap product masquerading under a SOLID BRAND NAME
What to say? Having done more plumbing than I could have ever hoped to; I tried the standard 1/2 copper install option and it went together well. Wrapped threads with teflon tape after polishing up copper pipe, lubed up the o-rings with plumbers grease and slipped it together seamlessly. "No problem" I thought to myself. Then it started raining in my basement. On a well so water pressure isnt above 50psi, but there was still water bypassing the sealed threads and coming into the wall behind the faucet. Tore into the basement ceiling to find water flowing back into the wall and over the edge of the tub. Tried a second go with a bit more teflon tape and then the large threaded fitting (closest to the wall) SPLIT on me. (I hand tightened this btw). Having a largeish tube of 30 minute caulk in my kit, I just coated the entire assembly (think peanut butter sandwich) and slopped it together and slathered the hole behind the faucet and waited half an hour. And as if by magic, the rain stopped. My advise would be to buy a good tube of high quality caulk before attempting an install on this product. And unlike every other plumbing install, be VERY tender with how tight you thread it on. Or buy 2 and use the first one for practice.

Works well, but needed to cut a pip
Seems well made, metal, looks good, and does what it is supposed to do.Hubby had to use a hacksaw to cut about one inch off the copper pipe that comes out of the wall, in order to get this faucet to fit. TIP: Cut the MINIMUM amount you need to in order to fit the faucet, husband almost cut a lot, thinking it would make the faucet fit better, but glad he didn't do it.Our house is a cheap builder's house built in 1988, in the Sacramento area, CA. My husband is not good with home repairs, but with a little advice from my son, he was able to do this. While filling the tub, the water no longer flows from the faucet because it hits against the switch for the attached shower hose, so the water sort of sprays out. Not a problem, I just wasn't expecting that.I LOVE being able to rinse my hair out with the showerhead when I'm done with my bath. So wonderful and so much easier than sticking my head under the faucet!

Good product, but flow is weird.
good product for money value, I bought an open box. good product, you might need help installing it. the flow of water is weird, it splashes everywhere, but does the job of diverting water.

Very good unit, easy to install and nice design
Great build and nice design. Did not have any problem it fitted perfectly with the supplied adaptor which by the way you can cut if its too long by about 1/2" (be sure to use the supplied teflon). I am pretty sure it will not leak as the previous one I bought at the hardware store for maybe 10$ less which began to leak after 1 year because of corrosion as the internal pipe of this unit goes all the way from the wall to the spout. It feels sturdy and diverts all the water to the shower head without any loss to the bath.

Good build quality!
High build quality, might need some work to install depending on your piping. I imagine for most people they won’t have any issues.

Replacement diverter faucet
This diverter is the correct size, but because the diverter is at the side and not underneath, it didn't fit snuggly against the tiles. We had to add a plate. It also doesn't spray straight down.
