Saves you from a load of complex pipe geometry
I used this to mate my waste trap with the fixed water pipe coming through the wall. It allowed me maximum flexibility in positioning the waste trap and I didn’t have to make up a complex extension joint with two elbows in. Saved me time and effort AND didn’t cost any more than the alternative.

Nearly wasted
Good item but had to adapt it to be able to fit it to the bath waste as the theaded connector end is the wrong way around. Surely when using this item it is to be run from the threaded waste exit on the bath and push fit into the fixed waste exit pipe. Idea is good but needs to be re-examined.
