These work very well for our purpose; keeping a curious toddler from opening the built in washing machine cupboard. It's was ridiculously easy to attach (peel, stick & click). I thought it would only work on corner cupboards (b'cos of the photo -- doh!). But it works equally well on side by side cupboards. I personally don't find it a pain to unclip when I need access to the cupboard content. I plan to buy more as I prefer this to the ones you have to screw into your kitchen units (who would want to do that!). My 15 month old is very strong and a determined little chap when he sets his mind to something and he's not been able to pull this off the cupboard. Who knows if he ever will but since the surface is relativity flat I don't think he can grip easily and pull it off.I'm holding back a star b'cos I don't know if the sticky pad will damage my unit when the time comes to take it off and that won't be for a good few years if my sons curiosity hold up.

Best drive lock ever. Had to buy this as our wolfhound kept raiding the fridge. The final straw was when he developed a taste for prime steak. He didn't even want it cooked.... Just dragged it out of the fridge usually followed by a pit of Greek yogurt or double cream for dessert. Put the fridge lock on and I have been enjoying steak and yoghurt for weeks! Yum yum

This is an amazing lock for the 3 year old! There’s no way she can get into it until she learns how to open it and it’s very easy to install! The adhesion is phenomenal- so good that if you don’t get it right the first time there’s no way it’s coming off. However it could have a nicer design, otherwise it does exactly what it’s meant to.

A simple product at a great price and easy to fit. I have used them to lock fridge and freezer so that elderly mother with dementia cannot get stuff out and leave it. It is easy for someone with reasonable dexterity to open the door but it has defeated mum. I was a little concerned that the adhesive pads would not be strong enough to withstand an adult trying to open the door rather than a toddler for which it is intended but so far no problems. and you could always put 2 locks on to decrease the strain.

We have BabyDan magnet locks on key cupboards in the kitchen to keep our inquisitive toddlers safe. However our 3 year old recently discovered the freezer contains ice creams and tried helping himselfa few times. Magnet locks sadly couldn't be fitted due to the freezer door is designed so we tried these. They solved the problem, he can no longer help himself to the ice creams and the adults in the house can still access the freezer with relative ease. The minor extra effort in opening the door is however rewarded by having a better chance of being able to enjoy a frozen treat ourselves

Then silence is terrifying.An entire block of cheddar cheese, half a lasagne (home made by my wonderful wife) and most of the veg drawer.And it only took him 10 minutes.These little latches have totally saved our fridge contents from future repeats.At least - until he develops opposable thumbs...

This looked like a great solution to keeping my 2 year old out of the laundry cupboard... however within 5 minutes of me putting it on the doors he somehow managed to open one side of the lock, pull out the plastic strap and then close the lock up without the plastic strap. Try as I might I was never able to unlock it again so we had to remove it. I’m not sure exactly what he did or how he managed it but unfortunately it wasn’t child proof enough for our Houdini child. : /

I don't have children but I intend to use the lock to hold open my conservatory door in the summer. I've tried it out briefly and it seems ideal. Easy to install and seems robust. I will update the review if my opinion changes but so far so good. Bearing in mind this isn't the intended purpose of the lock!
