As of 06/05/24 I have had our local police drop by and have me review my camera footage for suspect vehicles. They have all been impressed with the quality of the video.Just wanted to include this.I wanted an affordable camera with ptz, wifi, works on windows computer & Android, and for outside. This one had all of that. It is a bit larger than I thought it would be, but that is not an issue for me.I have 5 other cameras of different brands and I use Blue Iris software on my computer. This works with it.It has good quality video that you can switch from HD (high definition) to SD (standard definition). You can also take a snapshot if you want to.The tracking is not smooth as it follows a subject and when subject is out of frame, I have not had the camera long enough to explore all the settings. Since they do not provide a manual with the camera and the website only caters to smartphones, I have to stumble through the settings one by one.So far I am happy with the camera. Time will tell if it lasts very long and continues to preform the way it should.I will update this posting in the future if needed.Overall, the camera ticks all the boxes for my needs.

We have a few PTZ cameras, but this is the first one that we got that has the dual zoom lens and I love it. When it is time to replace any of the others, I will be replacing them with one of these.Update. We've had this camera along with other Boavision Cameras going on a year and a half to 4 years and we've only had to replace one that had stopped working for some reason. And we replaced it with this BOAVISION 2K Security Cameras Wireless Outdoor. It is by far the best of the bunch. No subscription required for recording. Have them all connected to a dedicated PC with a dedicated router. They are easy to setup. They are reliable. You have connection and viewing options. All at a decent price point.

Camera runs ok for 3 to 4 days, then disconnects. Must go to power supply, unplug, then plug in again.Amazon tells me to contact seller, and request help and/or replacement. Seller tells me to replace power supply with another. (they Did Not send a replacement) I changed supplies, only to again have the same disconnect issues. Amazon keeps calling me, asking what the seller is saying. So annoying!I have many of these cameras, and the simple answer for these Boavision cameras, is that they are junk.Now must hunt for better cameras! Probably Amazon is NOT the place to purchase this type of equipment.John Daniels

The media could not be loaded. A super fast simple installation using the CamHiPro app. (It’ll work with CamHi as well but is limited in camera settings)…The night color is decent and I find the auto-tracking is too glitchy as you can see in the short video clip. If the 3rd party seller wants to send me another for a review that will auto-track smoother, I’d give it a full five stars. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

zoom is better than early models and resolution is quite good. Low light operation is also good

Like the upgraded camera mode,much clearer. Only wish it had a auto pan function. Must say, customer service was great in replacement of bad unit only took three-day turnaround.

I have tried more than a few of these cheap PTZ cameras and put them all through their paces. This one again, has no way to turn off ALL of the lighting. You simply do NOT have the option of turning off both the white LED and IR LED lighting. So, I had to spend time taping over ALL of the LEDs so I can have a covert camera that will not attract attention. Even so, the color at night is crap. Everything is shades of green and the imaging chip is NOT very sensitive at night unless you have the built in search light uncovered. There are some applications where you WANT/NEED a covert camera and this is not the one.Next on the list of shortcomings is this is NOT 360 as advertised. It is actually a bit less than 355 degrees. This makes a difference if you are hanging this in an area that has unimpeded view all around. Which means that in some cases you have to wait for the camera to do a full sweep before you can see the other side. Those 5-6 seconds are long enough to lose important action.Sure, it's cost efficient but at least have truthful advertising. This is NOT 360 as advertised, the nighttime options are limited/terrible and the microphone is still not up to the task of giving clear and crisp sound like microseven cameras deliver.After finding the limitations, I didn't even bother trying the motion detection because I use blueiris to software detect motion.Meh, for the money it's ok but the camera could be so much better.
