Ideal spare
Bought this as a cheaper alternative to an original battery. First impressions are that it produces what seems almost as much torque as the 3Ah and 5Ah original batteries I use with the Brushless Makita angle grinder and multi drill. This battery also takes a bit longer to charge, presumably because the BMS chip in the battery is preventing the charger from providing its full charge current, in order to protect the type of cells this battery uses. Have taken it through three full charge cycles with commendable results, but how long it will last only time will tell.

Doesn’t fit all my LXT tools
This battery fit most of my Makita LXT tools, but it didn’t fit my Makita LXT angle grinder - the battery has a plastic guide on the side that my other batteries do not and it catches on a piece of the angle grinder.

as good as the original
Excellent value for money. Original replacement was about £70, so I was sceptical when I saw this for £22. Good charge time, holds charge well, delivers good torque. I've bought a second one.

Battery seemed brilliant plenty of power to begin with but only lasted 4 months untill it stopped charging, it was used with 3 other Makita batteries so it was not used extensively, hopefully they hold up there warranty

A good alternative to a B&D spare battery.
Much cheaper than an original B&D part and works just as well.

Battery set a fire when I charged it on my Marita charger

Hit and miss.
I feel a bit stiched up. I would say this battery is 2ah at best. I've opened it up and some of the cells seems to drag the rest of the battery down by not reaching 3.7 volts.

Bought this as on the strength of a reply saying it would charge on my old charger. It didn't, so it was sent back.
