VERY SURPRISED BY THE DEPTH OF FLAVOUR IN THIS SWEET & SOUR SAUCE. I USUALLY MAKE MY OWN, BUT FIND TIME IS AGAINST ME LATELY. I HEATED IT GENTLY WITH SOME PINEAPPLE CHUNKS, THINLY SLICED SWEET PEPPERS, SHALLOTS AND A SQUEEZE OF LEMON - SHOCKINGLY GOOD!

Better than takeaway absolutely brilliant product. Lasts quite a while too. We've ordered more great for chicken kebabs too.

Strong , as I like it . Slightly vinegary , but smooth .

First time trying this sauce. We eat A LOT of rice and wanted a large bottle that we could just pour as required, so this was ideal. Once opened, it has an 8 week life, so no worry about wasting any. I suppose taste is an individual thing. I prefer a more sour kick which this didn't really have. It was just sweet. Quite a fruity flavour. It was nice, it didn't put us off eating it. Might try adding a splash of vinegar next time.

It's not like the sweet and sour sauces you get from your local Chinese take away. It's edible but it's not sweet enough for me and I won't be buying it again. I only used it on chicken balls for a "fakeaway" - heated it up in the microwave.

Bought this as I love sweet and sour sauce and will always order something with sweet and sour sauce in a restaurant or take away. This was just not very nice - there is a weird after-taste like prunes or something similar. I tried this product a long time ago in a small bottle and didn't like it then but have been so impressed by other Lee Kum Kee sauces that I thought I'd give it another go and bought the large 2.3kg pack and the taste is still as bad as I remember. Gave some to a friend at work to double check my taste buds and they felt exactly the same. Really surprised so many people rate this highly, I am going to throw mine away - I just can't eat it. Sorry LKK, you need to do better with this one. PS, noticed that many customers are not reviewing LKK s+s sauce, bit other sauces in the range e.g. hoi sin etc - - please sort this out Amazon!

When you need a sweet and sour sauce which is very quick and really easy, this will do very well. It is quite thick, although adding a wee bit of water would take care of that. It is not very strongly flavoured, so you can still taste the chicken balls. Sweetness was fine for me, but some people may like to add a spoon or so of sugar to taste. Lee Kum Kee products can always be relied on and this is no exception Recommended.

Now most people buying this probably expect something with chunks, honestly most will likely think of the sweet chili sauce when buying this. This is a pure sauce, no chunks. Its sweet and sour, great with vegetables and fruits as well as light meats like chicken a bit meh on its own but that's also not how you use it

Die Grösse der Flasche ist natürlich top,aber schmecken tut die Sauce überhaupt nicht! Weder süss,noch sauer,eher wie abgestandener Ketchup^^ Manche mögens vllt.,wenn sie beim Billig-Chinesen essen gehen,aber ne Freude kann man nicht damit machen.
