Very bright, dimmable, great colour
If you are still 'stuck' with GU5.3 and want top brightness then this is perhaps is one of the very best you can get.At 600lm+ this is brighter than a 50-60W incandescent and pretty much the brightest (at this time) - it may even be too bright - thankfully it is dimmable so you can reduce power as needed. While this may work with older transformers - you really need dimmable LED drivers (say 12W) so make sure you budget for that if you don't have them already deployed. If you do have older transformers - it may be cheaper to just change to GU10 than buy this+LED driver - as good quality LED drivers are not cheap. On the other hand, 600lm GU10 LEDs are extremely hard to find - at least now.The CRI may not seem important - but the colour is very pleasing and never grating as many other LEDs; these are 2700K so standard warm type - personally I would have preferred a slightly cooler 3000K version which Philips do have in other socket types. They are not cheap but I still have to have a Philips Master LED fail on me since I started buying various ones over 3 years or so I think they are a good investment. Remember to take them with you when moving ;)

Well made product and as bright as halogen bulbs!
Not cheap, thus only 4 stars, but they seem like a very good quality product.Very bright and seem as good if not better, then the old halogen bulbs that I used to have.

These are really good
I refitted all our ceiling lights with these bulbs and all the bulbs still work after 3 years. They have a nice "incandescent" colour to them so are very easy on the eye.

Not actually dimmable
This bulb didn't work on a dimmer switch. Even at full power, it would only blink on for a fraction of a second when the power was applied and then go off again. On a non-dimming switch it works OK, although it sometimes flashes once when switched on. I thought it might be worth paying a premium for a respected brand name, but obviously not.

Good bulb, awful packaging
5 stars for the bulb, 1 star for the packaging. This comes in a huge clear plastic and card box which you have to destroy to get at the bulb. Why couldn't they have used a cubic card box that could be reused to store the old halogen bulb that these are designed to replace? The bulb itself is fine - I am using it with a 20-60VA transformer. The only negative would be that the bulb flashes once when you turn it on, but remains solid thereafter. I have 5 of these bulbs, and all seem to behave the same.

Elliminated previous LED 'flicker'...
Bought these (for our kitchen) to replace a previous set of replacement LEDs that I had bought to replace original halogens. The replacement LEDs would flicker noticeably after being on only after a couple of minutes and unfortunately the (likely old school) 12v transformer powering them is buried somewhere in the ceiling void so not immediately practical to change it out for a dedicated LED driver. These Philips bulbs however, seem to be able to deal with that without issue. Absolutely no flicker at all. Not only that, but they're a much higher lux level and light dispersion than what we had before. And a much more preferable halogen-like colour temperature (2700 kelvin). Not as cheap as some but I like that they 'just work' with no issues. These are dimmable - which isn't a functionality that we have had previously - so I might swap the switch out for a dimmer at a later date and see how they perform... but for now, very pleased with them.

Don't work when other LED bulbs do
I haven't replaced all my low voltage drivers with LED-specific ones, however in most places in my house these won't turn on at all where other 50w-equivalent dimmable LEDs work just fine, including some from Philips' own CorePro line (the ones with the big heat sink fins, which I was hoping to eliminate). I can take one of those working LEDs out and replace it with this and it will flash on for a second and that's it. They're obviously far more sensitive/particular than other brands or even different models from Philips. I'm not even trying to dim it, just get it to turn on at all. When working the colour is warm enough and the light is bright enough, but as they're not a swap-in replacement you can be confident in when other LED bulbs are working that makes them a gamble. Not recommended.

Pleased.
These lamps work well. They are dimmable and produce a warm light.

Lustig: Meine 7 Strahler kamen an 3 Tagen.

Luce fin troppo "calda"
