I need to attend a formal interview, is this bag suitable for this occasion?

Absolutely. Everyone loves this bag. It is eloquent. Very appropriate.

Can it fit a 15.6'' laptop? This bag is almost the same size as the bag that fits a 15.6'' laptop.

No, I don't think it would. I have a 14" laptop and it's a snug fit. The bag is structured, so I don't think there's room to expand for a 15.6" laptop.

Would this be good as a backpack for a middle schooler?

Yes, I bought this bag as a gift for my daughter, she loves it and it works great for her.

How many straps does this briefcase come with?

Two, it's a shoulder bag when I use one strap, and a backpack when I use two straps, and it's functionally, worth the money!
