Q: When not in use, should the battery stay on the charger or on the vacuum unit?

This does a great job on hardwood and vinyl. It does well on carpeting, but that drains the battery much more quickly. We use it almost everyday for touch-up cleaning. The clear trap makes it easy to see when it needs to be emptied. It's a good product... go for it.

Yes. I just put the battery in the charger and try to remember to remove it 24 hours later. I don’t pay much attention to the lights.
