The radio will not switch on independant of the ignition even though it has a separate (non-ignition) 12v feed to it.

It was bought as a replacement for the combine also same radio in tractor and they all have to have ignition on ….

Can I switch the radio on without having the ignition turned on?

it's nothing to do with the head unit, if you want it powered independent of the ignition you just need to provide a direct power feed, i.e. a non ignition switched power feed.

Will this work in the uk?? With UK frequencys, DAB and FM?

Yes it works ok in UK dab and fm and on line with Alex
