Value for money
A very lightweight lens compared to some for the G9 - first try out and quite impressive- i do need more practice- but, for the build and reach it is worth getting.

Flexible and easy to carry around.
The Lumix G Vario 45-200mm f/4.0-5.6 II is an upgrade to the previous version offering Dual IS when attached to one of the relevant Panasonic bodies. It is a compact housing which will fit in most photo bags and is pretty light in weight so you can walk around with it all day without too much effort. Performance is quite good though and unsurprisingly, the sharpness drops off a bit at the most extreme zoom setting but that can be addressed with a bit of sharpening in post-editing.

Good quality but a bit bulky
I bought the Panasonic 45-200mm power ois ii for a bargain price so that factors into my positive view. The lens has a quality solid build and feel. Smooth operation of the zoom and focus rings. Takes great photos similar to the 45-150mm, in fact unless you pixel peep there is no discernible difference IMO, perhaps a bit smoother bokeh on the 45-200mm. The power ois works well even when on a camera with no ibis (G100). If I didn't have the 45-150mm then I would have no comparison to the 45-200mm and probably be blissfully happy with the lens. However, it is nearly 100% heavier, larger by a fairly significant amount and just shouts to the world "I have a zoom lens on my camera". If you really need the extra 50mm zoom range go for the 45-200mm, otherwise I would say go for the 45-150mm which is smaller, lighter and cheaper and gives similar results.
