Genuine Honda 54111-S2A-003 Pivot Cover

This arrived incredibly fast! I originally broke the one that came with my rebuild kit, so I had to scramble to find a replacement and luckily found one on Amazon.Tip for installation: Microwave a cup of water for about 90 seconds, then dunk the pivot ball in it. Grease the ball end of the shifter, and while the pivot ball is still warm, press it into place for an easier fit, to avoid cracking this piece. This is a must have if you’re reviving the shifter in a S2000.

My original pivot ball cover was worn and nasty, so I decided to replace it. This one is a genuine piece, but unfortunately cracked under minimal pressure during installation. There was a TON of grease on the ball and cover, but it's a pretty brittle piece of plastic apparently. All in all, it did still improve shifter fell on my S2000.

Use a heatgun to expand the plastic, as the tolerance is very tight. You will most likely crack the pivot cover if no heat is used since it is very brittle
