Product description Chinh Phục Conquer ('S' Blend) Ground Coffee 500g Foil Packet 'S' Blend, actually called 'Chinh Phục' ('Conquer'), is produced for the Vietnamese domestic market and not normally exported. Considered a "Home Blend" in Vietnam, this special blend is a slightly milder version of the Gourmet Blend. We obtained a limited amount of this stock, usually not available for export. It is a blend of Arabica, Robusta, Chari (Excelsa) and Catimor beans in a traditional Vietnamese roasting and flavour balance, Trung Nguyen created a trademark 'all occasions' coffee with a broad, rich flavour and buttery mouthfeel, with excellent aftertaste and keeping qualities. This coffee is a top seller in Vietnam with great heritage, sophisticated balance and many hints of chocolate, fruit and nut. Directions For use with traditional Vietnamese Drip filter. Can also be used with french press and other brewing techniques for ground coffee.

Coffee flavoured hot chocolate
I rarely review on food/drink as I believe each individual has a different taste and we all should respect what the other’s think/like. However, I am making an exception with this product so that others can get a better understanding of it.A disclaimer is that I have been to Vietnam (and stayed for years) and drunk multiple types of coffee in different parts of the country so I believe that I know what Vietnamese coffee is like. I was quite delighted when I discovered this, and reading others’ reviews, I was hoping I would get to experience that great coffee again. I was wrong. This coffee has been tweaked to be easily acceptable by the masses. This coffee smells like hot chocolate with vanilla, and very little smell/taste of coffee can be found. The ground coffee is a little sticky so I think some sugar is added, or maybe that’s vanilla. It’s relatively finely grounded so use a drip instead of a press. I don’t think it contains enough caffeine to get me through the morning so I find myself drinking 2-3 big mugs a day now instead of just 1-2. I have already gone through a third of the bag since I got the coffee 4 days ago.TL;DR: If you are expecting a “boost” in the morning before the day work, look elsewhere. On the otherhand, if you like something sweet which fills you and you can drink literally anytime without affecting your sleep, this is the one.

I love this coffee! was recommended by a friend
When I first had this coffee last year after meeting with a friend who travelled to Vietnam I was amazed with the flavour and smoothness of this coffee. He and his partner travelled to Vietnam and swore by it, on my first sip I got chocolately aromas, chocolate wafer taste and it blew my mind!I ordered my own bag eventually (April 2020) as I had been going on about it recently with the wife.Needless to say, she and I are enjoying every cafetiere of it most mornings!I would highly recommend this coffee if you love one that is not too bitter (the only slight bitter aftertaste is similar to a slightly dark chocolate, but it goes very well also with a little brown sugar and oat milk for me.Well worth the purchase!

Rich chocolatey flavour, excellent
Love this coffee. The smell is absolutely delicious, almost chocolatey, and the flavour has very little bitterness. Quite a strong dark brew, not sure of the caffeine level, but the flavour is smooth and rich.I make it in a basic coffee machine and store in a tin, since the packet is approximately double the size of a standard store bought coffee bag so lasts longer.I have ordered this a few times and will continue to go back to it. The price is reasonable and the bags have always arrived in great condition with a long best before date.

Puts you in a jittery flight or fight state
I drink loads of varieties of coffees each week. I never expected this to be a high quality coffee, as for the price you can't expect that, however, whilst this coffee tastes nice (if you like sweet vietnamese coffee), rather than giving me energy, this coffee puts me into a jittery tired but wired state. There's something not right with the manufacturing process or some added ingredients thrown in. Stay away if you're a true coffee lover.

This smells amazing! Chocolate and caramel and toasted corn
This smells amazing ! Chocolate and caramel and toasted corn. Not like any coffee I have had before and just great. Use a phin, 2 tbs of this coffee and some condensed milk and you're in for a treat ! Apparently you can use it to make Vietnamese coffee ice cream with... (brewed coffee, condensed milk and cream...mixed and frozen).... haven't tried it yet but it's on my To Do list. You can also use this coffee in moka pot and it works well

Strong chocolate flavour.
My friend recommended this coffee as he tried it when travelling and he loved it but personally speaking although it is quite nice I find it a bit too chocolatey, I now blend it with some other coffees and its a nice addition to some coffees so I would still recommend it. On its own it is not for me but for someone who likes a chocolatey flavour coffee this would be perfect.

Product consistency
This is our normal go-to coffee. Strangely we ordered some which did not taste like it normally does (almost more burnt/less chocolate)....so slightly worried we got a substitute or different blend. And we ordered two bags! So will need to see what the next one is like. We have one of the “old” bags left to do a compare and contrast. Hope it’s a one-off!

Strong Chocolate Taste and Smell
I decided to try an authentic Vietnamese coffee to use in my Phin so ordered this variety. It's much more Chocolate tasting than coffee, still drinkable but it's more an evening drink than a day time coffee fix, certainly not the blend you should be making your espresso with if you like a caffeine hit to kick start your day.
