Little but fixed a serious damp problem
Despite a slight hiccup when I first got it, this is a great little dehumidifier. My room had a damp problem & when mould started returning for the second time, I decided I had to do something. After the first 24 hour period the humidity of the room was down to within normal levels, after starting out at 78 (should be between 40-50 with 45 being ideal) . Now it's maintaining the humidity level in the 40s and the difference in the air is brilliant, and no more damp smell. It's also easy to move around and no heavier than your average vaccum if you have to pick it up (it has wheels but I had to lift mine properly to carry it upstairs,)It only extracts 12 litres if you have the hose attached (which they say is not included but mine came with a tube to connect it in the bucket) the bucket only holds 2 litres but it's not really an issue. To begin with I had to empty it twice a day, but now its reduced the humidity to the correct level it can go a full day and night before needing emptying. As to whether its suitable in a bedroom, that depends on your individual noise sensitivity and how deeply or not you sleep. On normal mode it makes about the same noise as a regular fan. Silent mode is more like quiet mode, the sound of the fan is softer but still audible. I used to have a table fan running in my bedroom at night because of the high humidity., just to make the room feel a bit cooler, as a result I desensitised to the fan, even on full blast,. This dehumidifier is a lot quieter and I sleep ok with it running, even without the quiet mode. Others may not. Although I'm not sure there's any such thing as a completely silent dehumidifier.if you need to use it in the bedroom and are noise sensitive, maybe have it running in another room for the initial 24 hour run, them move it to the bedroom but only run it during the day, it'll still reduce humidity overall, just slightly less efficiently. Also the slight issue I had with mine was easily fixed and not the units fault. Basically part of the instructions tell you to pull the bucket out and put it back in before running it for the first time , but when I tried the bucket was stuck and would only come out part way (and I wasn't going to force it in case it broke). Seller was really helpful and I had been advised to contact the support team, but tried the bucket one last time and happened to look through the grill and noticed there was a gap between the filter and the top, and the grooves for the filter went up a lot higher than the filter was actually positioned. I wriggled the bucket out enough that I could get my fingers inside, got my hands under the filter, and managed to shove it back up to the correct position. The bucket came out smoothly after that and didn't catch at all, so if you have similar issues, check the filter hasn't slipped in transport ;)Filter has stayed in place since, and no other issues at all. Brilliant little dehumidifier. :)

Great Machine
Love this Dehumidifier . Very easy to use and very efficient , both on electricity use and at moisture collection. Great customer service as well. I was slightly concerned by small judder that occurs when compressor turns off and on. I contacted Inventor and, within hours , they got back to me and reassured me that this was normal behaviour. I have now bought a second one, impressed by their quick response and the performance of my first machine. At 15 degrees C , it collects 2 litres of water in 15 hours. As your house temperature goes higher,it tends to collect water faster. It is much quieter than my old dehumidifier and far more efficient. The silent option makes very little difference, so I wouldn't sleep with it on.It is great to be able to see the humidity of the room on the machine, but wait 5 minutes after switching on to get an accurate reading. I tend to use it on the constant option, for two reasons. Firstly, because once it reaches your set humidity level it only switches off for 3 minutes, before it goes back on again. This is because humidity readout whizzes up without the fan on. So a bit pointless really. Secondly, I keep humidity setting at maximum. So when I'm turning it off for the night, I just turn off continuous button and compressor turns off immediately, then the fan carries on for few minutes. Then I press power off and dehumidifier is shut down. The reason I do this is because if you are on continuous option and turn off power button, both compressor and fan switch off at once. I think probably better for compressor to have fan on far a while, after it has switched off.Despite these slight oddities I love these dehumidifiers. They work better in one room. I have several very damp rooms on different floors, so is a good idea to have two, rather than just one trying to do the whole house. I have got rooms they are in down from 75 percent humidity to 52 percent. This is running dehumidifier 15 hours a day on continuous. Feels so much warmer and anything below 60 percent humidity means mould will not grow. Also no more streaming condensation on the windows in those rooms.I thoroughly recommend this smart little 12l dehumidifier .

The handle and castors make it easy to move the unit around and it is relatively ...
Item arrived as described and was what I expected. As I have asthma and no tumble dryer, I purchased the unit to keep humidity down while the laundry is drying in the house. Seems to work okay so far at keeping the humidity at bay, but that being said it has only been a week and I have not really been doing a lot of laundry. The real test will come when the laundry increases and the heating is not on full blast. The handle and castors make it easy to move the unit around and it is relatively simple and straight forward to operate and empty. The silent mode is not silent (but didn't really expect it to be), I do have to raise the telly volume to hear it above the unit however it is quieter than I expected. It would be nice to have a longer chord, but that seems to be a common complaint with most dehumidifiers. Also the instruction booklet could use a little tweeking as I feel a few things got lost in the translation; i.e. do not operate the unit by turning on or off the power. I assuming they mean do not stop or start the unit using the plug or electrical mains box and it says the continous draning hose is not supplied, but there was a clear hose stashed in the water collection drawer, at least I hope that is what it was for!
