just installed this light, please can you tell me if you can adjust the sensitivity and how long the light stays on ?
Is the main light (PIR) also photo sensitive, i.e would it only switch on when it is dark?
Does the light come with a bulb or do I need to buy one?
how many wires are there on this?

Great little outside light. Perfect for the job and good value.
I couldn't find anything in the shops that matched what I was looking for in a new outside lamp. After having bad experiences of paint flaking off alumium outside lamps, I was looking for stainless steel this time and something quite compact. The Bryon Elro, with it's dual light sources seemed to fit the bill. The glass on the first item I received was found to be broken when unpacked, however it's replacement was fine. The lamp seems good value and well made, only time will tell how the finish will stand up to the great British weather.I bought this to replace an existing one, so the wiring was already in place. I would describe myself as a competent DIYer and I found the light very easy to install.I chose this item because of the dusk til dawn and PIR features. Both of these work very well, with the small LED providing a nice pool of blue light, below the lamp, during the hours of darkness. The main PIR light illuminates the area outside the front door well enough for you to see visitors or for when you arrive home. The PIR works well and the light remains on for just the right period of time. One thing to say is that if you are looking for a security light, this product is probably not for you. The light levels, although adequate for it's intended purpose, are not going to dazzle intruders. I would perhaps also not recommend this product if you live in an unlit area as again, you would probably require a lamp with a brighter output. We have street lighting on all night in our area so this was perfect. Thus far, very pleased with my purchase.

Perfect for the job
Purchased this to install next to our front door, the purpose being to provide light when walking from the cars to door, or sitting on the decking for a smoke. The PIR is not the most sensitive, in that it will not pick up on movements when sitting down, so you can find yourself sitting in the dark. However, it never fails to switch the light on if walking near or making significant movement. The downlighting LED which turns on as it gets dark, and off when light (regardless of movement) works really well in our application, giving a nice 'waterfall' of clean white, though not too bright light - its enough to see where you're heading before the PIR element of the lamp kicks in.Was easy enough to fit with no suprises. Though be careful with the circular top/hat of the lamp - the edges on the underside are quite sharp, though not an issue once installed. As an aside, I fitted the main lamp with a 5watt LED bulb - the opaque glass cover really helps in terms of photometric output and the overall result is VERY good

Was good for one year, then stopped working
It’s a shame because it looks great but it stopped working after a year. The solar panels faded and look worn.

Good Quality
This is easy to fit and works well. My only issue is that you can not adjust the sensitivity of the sensor. Therefore as I live on an estate it can operate when a car drives down the road. It is also smaller than I expected.

Useful littlelight
These outdoor lights are not particulalry big, I have two on my home either side of the front door so I did not want large lights, however they work very well and are easy to install, if you leave the power to the all the time they completely switch off during the day, during the evening the blue LED downlightes come on, which is visually quite pleasing it also illuminates the house number, another advantage of the LED downlight is that they use very little energy. The Main light comes on when it senses movement and stays on for a couple of minutes, this time is not adjustable however if you are moving about on the drive the light will stay on continously, for example if you are removing shopping from the car. All in all I would recomend this little light, however if you just have one lantern light fitted to you house you may wish to purchase a larger unit.

Very happy with this purchase
This is a great little light - perfect for driveways, patios or to go by an external door. I've put one up on my garage which is at the end of my garden. The LED at the bottom comes on when it gets dark (you can turn a screw to adjust how dark it needs to be before it comes on). This part of the light isn’t a bright, its just enough to eliminate the immediate area but gives you an idea of where you should be heading. The top light is activated by a motion sensor and depending on the bulb you use, can be much brighter than the LED. You can adjust the sensitivity of the sensors to have it only come on only when you are very close to maybe up to 5 meters away (this is based on my playing around with it not the official specs). You can also adjust how long the top light stays on for from a few seconds to many minutes.I’ve had it for the last 6 months and it has survived one of the wettest winters in recent memory without any issues at all. Over all I’m really pleased and would recommend it. The only slight annoyance is that the adjustment screws don’t have markers to let you know how much of a change you’ve made. This means you have to play, trying out different combinations until you have things the way you want.Like others, I’d also recommend you don’t use halogen bulbs in the top because they never last long. I’ve put in an LED and it’s been fine for 6 months.

Stainless steel???
I think the light output is good enough, unlike some reviewers. The problem I have with it is that it has rusted quite badly within 6 months. Mine is mounted under a canopy, so doesn't get rained on. Stainless steel? I think Trading Standards need a call.

Light delay: how long the light should stay on after motion has been detected. What it doesn't have is an adjustment for the motion detector. It states it picks up motion up to 5 meters, the one I have picks it up from twice that! However I found a sneaky way of controlling it, the flap that hides the dials, moves down to cover the PIR (motion sensor) when you need to adjust the dials, so I've left it in a slightly lowered position so the PIR is partially covered. Now it only picks up motion about 3 meters away, which works perfectly for me. I should also add that the flap is most likely there to protect the dials from rain, as mine is within the porch canopy it's protected anyway, so this may not be ideal for you or you could try to cover the dials with waterproof material or use a small cutting of a tape (insulation tape perhaps?) to cover the top half of the PIR sensor. I hope that helps!"}},{"@type":"Question","name":"Is the main light (PIR) also photo sensitive, i.e would it only switch on when it is dark?","acceptedAnswer":{"@type":"Answer","text":"yes so far ok."}},{"@type":"Question","name":"Does the light come with a bulb or do I need to buy one?","acceptedAnswer":{"@type":"Answer","text":"All incuded--Ready to instal."}},{"@type":"Question","name":"how many wires are there on this?","acceptedAnswer":{"@type":"Answer","text":"There are 3 wires.
