-The blind is cordless for increased child safety. -The blackout blind has a special coating and does not let any light through. -Can be mounted inside or outside the window frame, or in the ceiling. -

Received a grey blind in error but design and easy installation of the item were excellent.

) Glad I had a partner who could assemble it though
Does the job :) Glad I had a partner who could assemble it though, probably wouldn't have sussed it out myself, especially with the unhelpful instructions that were included

I never fitted the third one as I consider it to be a waste of time and money
bought three of these from IKEA. Delayed putting them up for a couple of months but when I finally got roung to it the measuring instructioins proved to be as confused as I have come to expect. Then when I managed to fit them the larger of the two blinds appeared to have slight issues retracting. After two weeks it stuck so I took it down and re-fitted it. I did this several times over the next two months before it completely siezed up and broke. Shortly after the smaller of the two bliunds failed to retract and is now permamently in the down position. I never fitted the third one as I consider it to be a waste of time and money. I will be taking them back to IKEA to get my money back.and order some corded ones on-line.

Unreliable mechanism but good blackout blinds and good price
Bought two of these. Both have issues with locking and staying down. Doesn't matter what technique you use, it takes many attempts to get both to stay roughly where you want, and occasionally both whip up and open, when you're least expecting it. Mercifully, at least this tends to be very shortly after you've tried to close them. Otherwise they are fine.

THEY ARE CRAP!!!!!
Ever since they stopped doin the manual control I have had 5 blinds fail on me! So pi$$ed off as I no longer have the receipts! They started playing up after about 6 months. They pull donw and the automatic system does not roll them back up! It makes me so mad! Grrrr. Go to Dunelm Mill instead and you can get the manual ones there. I was told they discontinued the manual ones in Ikea in case a child hund themselves!?!?!? WTF!?!?! LOLOLOLOL. What has this world come to??!?!?
