Totally worth it
The media could not be loaded. I generally didn't think the cake would work but it did. Im so pleased with the end results. Baking in the oven took me 2 hours ( I was expecting that- i used gas mark just under 160degrees and I had an electric oven) cake did become little hard from the outside but the sugar and warm water did the trick by making it so soft). It would have been lot easier if I used the original doll that came with it but nieces wanted Elsa and Anna cake. So I just cut a whole in the middle. Cake cooked evenly and was easy to cut into half. Love the fact that it came with instructions so it was easy to bake.

Great product and the instructions and other ideas were a bonus.
Fabulous product and worked brilliantly first time. I think the cake mix took longer to cook than expected, but it was evenly cooked throughout. The tin came with instructions, different decorating ideas and a dolls head and body. Personally I thought the head was ugly but it would be great to use practice decorating as it is not as easy as it looks in videos on YouTube!🤣

Brilliant!
Purchased this to make a princess cake for my daughters 3rd birthday. It came out perfectly first time! The only tip I can give is don’t put too much of the bake ease in to grease the mould as it collected at the bottom making the top of the cake a bit oily! Highly recommend to anyone wanting to make one of these!

Mould great but no recipe
I bought the wonder mould.. I made a fruit cake for Xmas with recipe I found in Woman's Weekly. There wasn't a recipe for a sponge cake and its trial and error. Pity no actual recipe suited for the mould itself was included and its deep and quite deceptive to guess the quantities. I doubled upon a Mary Berry's recipe for her all in one sponge suitable for 8" sandwich cake. Put chocolate chips in mixture. Sandwiched it with double layerof chocolate butter icing. Mould isn't cheap. so it would have been better if they had made it fluted like the princess dress. I cover cake with moulding icing and decorate with different coloured butter icing..The new flexi icing lace (have to buy a rubber mould from Ladelands or Squires)is great. I make them for charity and the new lace icing is fabulous. Learning all the time. Cakes are great for raffles and bring in a fair bit ofmoney. Hope this is useful.

Absolutely Perfect!!
I bought this to make a princess cake for a young girl, it was VERY easy to use and I had no problems. The rod through the centre of the cake is a genius idea, my cake was perfectly cooked in the middle and not dry round the edges. I had no problems getting the cake out of the tin even though I used sunflower oil not vegetable shortening to grease the tin. I only wish you had a choice of the doll which came with the tin, it's 2013 and you should have a choice including the current European looking doll, a light brown doll and a darker brown doll as I make cakes for little girls of all hues and it's not fair that the brown little girls can't have a doll pick with a similar complexion to themselves, in the end I used a full sized Disney princess doll.

I like the form but it was very difficult to take ...
I like the form but it was very difficult to take cake out of the tin therefore glass bowl would do the same job.Instructiobd included are very detailed and doll looks lovely.

Good tin - make sure you bake low heat and long time
My daughter requested a Cinderella birthday cake this year so I bought a 12-inch Disney doll which had a removable skirt and this tin so I could create a cake skirt. I used the recipe that Wilton suggest on their website for this tin (pretty standard eight egg mix) but I had to cook it for a loooong time (two hours) on a low heat (160C) to get it cooked in the middle, but it produced a nice even bake. It was, however, not tall enough to accommodate the legs of the doll on its own so I had to then bake two eight inch rounds to stand the skirt shape on (worth knowing if you intend to use a doll). The cake removed from this pan easily with just a greasing of butter prior to baking - I didn’t need to line it with paper. This tins shape would also make a really good volcano!

Fantastic tin for any princess cake!
Great tin, need to experiment once or twice with quantities and baking time, but the just make a note for future use. If you want to use with standard size Barbie, or Elsa, Anna, Princess Sofia etc then make a separate cake in round tin, put this cake on top and trim down to maintain dress shape. Wrap the dolls legs in cling film and insert. The tin isnt shaped like the pink doll in the picture, you need to use icing sausages for this effect, however the smooth tin is much better for Anna/Elsa and Sofia. Perfect for any little princess!!
