This item has many features, which is why I purchased one. The stability is the best I have found for a gimbal. However, when it comes to software, there is a trade-off when using it with an Android phone. None of the apps (free or paid) utilize all the features. It is up to you which to use, depending on the features available for that particular app. In most instances, I have found that I often use the Android phone camera app, which gives good results. As I mentioned, stabilization is key for me. I can manipulate the video in post-production when videoing using the highest settings.

I've wanted to upgrade my existing phone gimbal which is a Zhiyun Smooth Q3. I liked my old gimbal but the 5S is a lot sturdier and beefier. I feel like the extra weight made a huge difference. It might be bothersome for others because of the added weight but I guess personal preference. The added wheel to zoom in and out is also a plus, it's easier to access unlike the old one. The built in fill light is also helpful PLUS you can add more on top and bottom using the external fill lights that can be purchased separately. I would definitely recommend this to anyone that is looking to buy a phone gimbal. It might not be as professional as the others but definitely does the job!

What I like about the Smooth 5S vs DJI or Moza, and why I chose to keep the Zhiyun Smooth 5S. For me it was all about handling the payload. I had ZERO issues with this gimbal being able to balance and secure an S22 Ultra with an additional heavy case with the two weighing around 425 grams and this gimbal never flinched. The DJI OM6 flopped like a fish out of water. Using this with my phone's native camera app is just fine. The controls on the Smooth 5S are designed well and fit my hand nicely. Unlike the DJI that can't handle an upward ascent or descent move from the ground without angling the entire camera, this Smooth 5S is very good, doesn't move or add an angle of 30 degrees or so to the upward movements and vice versa. For me and the DJI that was huge NO. With the Smooth 5S it handled all the standard gimbal movements, physical motion without a problem. No jitters, no crazy auto deadband faults. Just nice clean footage every time. The gimbal is lightweight too, but those motors are far more powerful than competitor products we tested against. The added light is actually very good for our RE Reel Videos and demos of properties. Agents on camera look great, and the light isn't as distracting as an externally mounted light as we have on larger camera gimbals. Other than the app not that great for Android users, the gimbal is made very well, very ergonomically designed, and I am fine using the camera's native app for now, but would LOVE for the mfg to at least give us an option of using the bluetooth control of gimbal and mobile device. That part is not usable unless you record at the app's limited frame rates which we never do... Who records at 30 fps in 1080? lol What I don't like...The APP is garbage! DJI OSMO Mimo app is GARBAGE too if you have an Android device. It amazes me after several of these gimbal product iterations that these mfg's cannot get these apps to work right! Newer phones with greater capabilities and I can't even record in 1080 60fps? 4K 60 fps? It's been like this for several years and we are forced to use the native app. Or return the gimbal! Your option is go iOS or use the Android native camera app. These all say they support late model phones like S22, S22+ Pixel 6, various LG, Sony phones... NOPE they do not. The apps will not record on any of those phones using video specs 1080 60 fps or 4K 60 fps ... Absurdity for sure

My wife got this for her travel business. It takes some time to understand all it can do. Once she got an understanding of how to use it, she has been fine. It is really good when walking and taking video as the stabiizer helps a lot.

I bought this to record myself on morning walks. It has not worked consistently yet. It is not an intuitive device. Perhaps I am jaded because the instructions are not written in good English. If you do buy this or any other device from this company, you’re better off ignoring the instructions and using YouTube instructors. Maybe this Gimble is not meant for use as a selfie stick. On my walks the Gimble changes modes on its own. Maybe because I am walking with my wife, the Gimble also changes from centering on me to the other person on screen. The last thing I find annoying is that the app seems more designed around their “featured content” than ease of use. So to reiterate, don’t waste your money. The instructions are almost worthless, the gimble has a mind of its own on where to focus, and the supporting app is not supportive. Maybe it’s the awful app causing all these problems. We tried pairing it with an Apple 15pro and an Apple 17pro. It failed to perform reliably on both devices.

This has become my goto gimbal for everything now. Zhiyun really does outdo themselves with options. The tracking and self moving made me fall in love with this. On top of that the pure amount of options the gimbal has is like the gimbals that handle professional cameras. Zoom, light, basically anything you can think of. Its light and easy to use. Mine usually stays on a tripod, but it goes with me everywhere.

La verdad pensé q estaba mejor cuidado . La batería está casi agotada y le faltaban piezas q al día de hoy no consigo . Los tornillos q busque ninguno funciona x lo que tuve q improvisar con una lapicera

I lost a part to the gimbal, and the support team was easy to deal with and sent out a replacement part quickly. The gimbal is great and easy to use. We use it all the time to post videos on social media.

This a great gimbal, its really easy to use and setup. I could not see anything in the instructions, but I eventually figured out that the app provided by Zhiyun (ZY Cam) isn't actually needed, you could use the already installed camera app on your existing phone, all you have to do is connect the phone to the gimbal via Bluetooth, and it should work. The gimal has lost of features, zooming in out, pan up, down, left and right, also has lots of modes to track objects, allow panning only and so on. This model has a fill light which is quick good for indoor use. Once you know how to select the mode you need, they are easy to use. The ginbal also has a USB-C charging socket, which is super convienent, as my phone has a USB-C power socket, and also has a USB-C slot to charge the phone while in use with with Gimbal (this does impact the great battery life of the Gimbal though). Sorry I could not show you all of the features on the video, a little difficult while operating the video and the gimbal at the same time. But I hope it shows how smooth, easy to use and compact it is. It has the ability to connect a large phone (Pixel 6 Pro) and you can balance it correctly with the sliding scale thats lockable. Tip: Ensure all parts of the gimbal are unlocked, so the gimbal can balance, twist and turn as needed. Excellent peice of equipment, recommended.

The build quality is great. It feels like the material is solid. The stability is also super good. I used it with iphone 13 pro max, and it handled it super smoothly. The modes are easy to use and you can easily switch between the modes with simple moves. The app also offers some nice features for long exposure and movement tracking. I also liked the spot light feature for recording. Adds enough light for proper exposure. Also, there is port that can charge your phone. All in all, enough features for high quality stable content creation. Recommended.

El producto es muy bueno, solo que en mi caso tengo que devolverlo al tener holgura en el motor de paneo. Creo que el modelo del año anterior, el 5 sin la s, es casi idéntico de uso y funcionamiento a bastante menor precio. Aconsejo este hasta que salga el 6 o 6s, com verdaderos cambios de progreso y mejora. El vendedor totalmente recomendable.

Efficace l'impugnatura con inserti in gomma, buona la durata della batteria da 2600 mAh che si carica in un paio d'ore, risulta un pò pesante se lo si utilizza per periodi superiori ai 30-40 minuti di seguito. Nel complesso un bel "giocattolo" con un rapporto qualità prezzo piu' che soddisfacente.

J'ai commandé ce stabilisateur pour me suivre lors de mes vacances car mon téléphone a une bone qualité de vidéos mais stabilise très si je filme en marchant. Je ne l'ai pas encore emmené pour un voyage mais les premiers tests que je fais chez moi sont encourageant. CONTENU La boîte est très qualitative et tout y est soigneusement rangé. On trouve le stabilisateurs, sa notice, un câble de chargement et un petit trépied pour faire des time-lapse par exemple. POIDS ET ERGONOMIE Le stabilisateur est plutôt ergonomique, pas spécialement léger mais maniable malgré tout. MATERIAU On sent qu'il ne s'agit pas d'un produit bas de gamme, le produit semble relativement robuste et solide. Attention malgré à prendre soin du mécanisme de stabilisation et à ne pas forcer n'importe comment. UTILISATION La première utilisation est forcément un peu laborieuse car il faut régler le stabilisateur et la balance de votre téléphone. Cela dit une fois faites ce réglages ne bougera pas si vous utilisez toujours le même téléphone. Pratique donc pour être rapidement en condition pour filmer. Seul gros point noir (mais je m'y attendais) l'application d'origine est catastrophique, ne comptez pas dessus. Dommage car c'est le genre d'outil qui peut être pratique pour des novices entre autres... Pour résumer Hâte d'utiliser le produit lors de voyage mais déjà satisfait par mon achat, les plans tests filmés avec mon téléphone sont fluides et sans accroc. Content de cet investissement !
