Swift delivery byJDS On line and well packaged. Have used Oust for years and find it an excellent product, invaluable. I prefer the bottles to the sachets as I can do smaller items and areas (tap spouts) with a few drops of the liquid. We live in a very hard water area, so a couple of drops in a saucepan after say boiling potatoes or veggies removes the lime marks and prevents build up. I can also do a more frequent, maintenance, descale of the kettle using less than a sachet. Not a problem for me, but I received a 500 ml bottle rather than the 2x250s shown.

This is good. To descale a kettle you need 100ml, it's not as concentrated as the sachets. There are some advantages... It's safer, being less concentrated. It's easy to use and store. You can decide how much you need. When I descale a kettle I don't get obsessed by poisoning the next person to use it or spoiling the taste. Apply, rinse, boil, rinse is all you need to do to make the kettle ready for use. Cons: The pouring spout is squeezy, no air intake... if you try to use only a drop, other drops will splatter the surrounding area when you turn the bottle upright. You have to be assertive, squeeze out what you need and immediately turn the bottle upright in one motion to avoid spills.

I’ve used this to descale coffe machines and the kettle, works really well and is very easy to use. Really cleans of all the limescale effortlessly.

I bought this thinking it would be the same as the OUST sachets, which I have found very effective in a hard water area. I was puzzled that it displayed almost no effervescence when added to a kettle in the recommended quantity. After doubling the dose It did, eventually, remove most of the scale but not in the stated 10 minutes, 3 hours would be more appropriate, the scale visibly returning in a couple of days, rather than the 2/3 weeks when sachets used. My conclusion is that, unless someone got at my bottle, it is considerably less concentrated and less effective than the OUST sachets, which I would recommend, although I do think they are expensive, or maybe I'll go back to vinegar which was nearly as good.

No problems, removed the (minor) scaling that I wanted it to. Decent price for a 2 pack. Don't bother trying it for things like tea tanning in cups, there no chance.

I bought this as an alternative to the packets/pouches. I did so partly to save money ( 3 x 25ml pouches per box at around £4.23) , and partly to avoid the non-recyclable pouches . I chose this bottle because it has the same illustration as the pouch boxes assuming the product to be the same. A pouch (25ml) can clean my coffee filter machine so I calculated that a 500ml bottle would give me 20 cleans. Reading the instructions on the bottle they say to pour 100ml into 200ml of water (a 50% dilution)! So, either the bottle contains a weaker solution and the advert is misleading by using the same picture without clarification or if the solution is the same strength as the pouches they are advising using a 4 fold qty to do the job which is dishonest. I will be looking for a different descaling solution once the bottle has been used.
