Good basic and easy to use airbrush and compressor
This is such a nifty bit of kit! I do quite a bit of artwork in various guises, from upcycling things by painting them to doing canvas artwork, painting t-shirts and the like. I'd probably be tempted to spray paint cakes too but I'm not a baker so there you go, I'd just be painting over the burnt bits! Luckily for my friends and family I don't intend to poison them all with pretty cakes just yet, but I will be creating t-shirt masterpieces a lot more easily now I have this.Anyway I've had great fun using this with acrylic paints which have been mixed for use as a fabric medium. Doesn't take long to get to grips with as it's such a simple and easy bit of kit to use. Gives great results although I'm a great believer in "a poor craftsman blames his tools". You do need to practise a bit, don't expect your inner Van Gogh to appear straight away!I'm looking forward to tackling my 'cosmos/galaxy' now I'm up to speed. As I said, I paint up a lot of t-shirts with designs and slogans, and this is, so far, perfect for such things. The really easy to understand instructions, was my big positive when I opened the box.I would say that the compressor is very noisy BUT that's the nature of this type of compressor I'm afraid. It holds enough paint in the cup for smaller projects (10mls); if you're switching colours as I do, you don't need a capacity larger than that anyway. It is a dinky thing with the sprayer, not designed for painting huge swathes of wall or fabric.Anyway, it's great, I love it and it will keep me out of mischief when I want to do something artistic.I've included a photo of my very first efforts on hessian, hopefully it shows you that this can actually achieve decent results from first use (don't start off complicated)!

Not bad
This product is not bad, It's OK for someone starting models. The air brush does spray quite small but can spurt a lot, the button/lever is quite springy also the compressor can be noise but nice and compact for someone just starting spraying with an airbrush

A great starter airbrush set!
Summary: Out of the box this airbrush ran great and is very competent for the price. The Airbrush itself is good for the price and seems well built, A complete strip for cleaning was slightly fiddly and some parts (such as the needle) are delicate but the process was simple enough and I have not had any issues with parts. It's definitely not a "magic" product, skill is required to use this effectively but the airbrush is easy to operate and the double action feels smooth. The compressor is on weaker side so if you plan to use this with thicker paints you may find that some paints need to be thinned more but while weak the compressor is also very quiet and causes little vibration.I have used Vallejo paints, GW Paints and cheap poster paints through this airbrush with no problem (once thinned) but I expect it would struggle with anything much heavier.

Easy to use and good value
I have a couple of 3D printers but have never been inclined to paint the models I print, though most of them have been functional items rather than decor. I've come to realise I'm missing an aspect of the print though but because of my very non artistic skill set did not want to invest too much money in case I just don't get on with it. This is a very cost effective option and in fact the paints and accessories I bought to go along with it cost more than the unit itself. The compressor looks very different from all the others I was looking at and is actually not a bad looking gadget. It's simply laid out with just a power button and a 'shift' button. It comes complete with the airgun, the hose, and a holder for the gun which attaches to the compressor. pointHaving watched a couple of online videos I saw what to expect and I found it extremely easy to use and was painting models within a couple of minutes of turning it on. Basically you press the top trigger down to activate the air, at which point the compressor will start operating if you have turned it on. Then to start painting you need to pull the trigger back while still keeping downward pressure on. The further back you pull the trigger, the more paint will come through. Not a lot of pressure is needed so it doesn't take long to get used to it.Many paints can be used and I bought some tubes of Acrylic paints which you can mix with water but it is much better to get some thinners. Dilute the thick paint down to a milky thickness so it will flow properly through the gun.The shift button varies the air pressure to suit the job you are doing. I normally use it at position 3 but have used 2 a couple of times. You will also need some gun cleaner as you need to run this through the gun every time you change colours (which is a lot) and I almost spent more time cleaning for colour change that I did actually spraying. There is not really any overspray to speak of and where I initially used plastic sheeting to protect the desk, I now just use a couple of sheets of newspaper.I do need plenty of practice still but I'm delighted with the results so far.
