Floïd After Shave Lotion

This is different from the original Floid aftershave; it has a sharp smell that will take a bit of getting used to if you are more accustomed to the barbershop smell the original one has. It also does not contain menthol so will not have the cooling effect.Although subjective, I do like the smell. It is quite strong so might not be suitable for bedtime if you shave at night and you are not going out. I still use the original Floid for bedtime as the smell is fresh and not overwhelming. I like to use this aftershave in the mornings. It has been very good at preventing irritations as it has good alcohol content and also decent at moisturising the skin. I have had to slap on a moisturiser on a few occasions I felt my skin was a little dry.

I've always used Floid aftershaves as they give a nice kick and soothing menthol feel after wet shaving. The original stuff is usually my go to aftershave but I noticed this version with a 'new fragrance' so thought I'd give it a go. From what I can tell it feels the same as the usual stuff but there's definitely a new smell in there and I must say I do quite like it. I'll keep buying this and some of the original stuff too, whichever is cheapest I guess but this is a great aftershave. I might add the smell doesn't last long, maybe an hour or so but this isn't meant to be a scented aftershave it is an aftershave that does a job, ie cleaning the new skin after shaving and stopping any cuts and nicks you might have 'acquired'. Feels so good on the face, it kisses the fire with an initial burn and then soothes it away. It smells a bit baby powdery old barbershoppy but with a bit of a modern twist. Good stuff.

The smell it's there , i hope it will do the job :-)I just open it , that why ! I enjoy a wet shave and the old style products i hope i will make a colection in time .The pack it was not in time but i'm optimistic !

Nice barber shop scent. Not overpowering, but pleasant.Finishes the shave nicely.

Lovely soothing lotion with a gorgeous smell that lasts a decent length of time for an after shave splash. Bargain price too.

Initially felt this classic lotion was bland but the more I use it I realise it is subtle and quite long lasting. It burns slightly and then soothes after shaving. I now love it and the fragrance is one of my go to - old school Spanish barbershop favourites. Since then I have purchased Floid Suave mentolado which makes your cheeks fizz after a good shave as the menthol kicks in and soothes wonderfully.

Excellent value.

Doesn't smell very nice not as hood as the Floyd soothing lotion version.

Estaba intrigado por el olor del llamado floid black y lo compré,la primera impresión fue que estaba delante de una fragancia fresca,ideal para primavera/ verano,pero se puede usar todo el año,es un aroma de toda la vida muy fresca,dulce, moderna y de una longevidad media.Esta versión es más amaderada, si lo tienes o puedes acceder a él pruébalo sin ninguna clase de complejos, es un producto estandarizado muy bueno y una fragancia a madera, la clásica muy atractiva !. El envío rápido y bien embalado.

Ich habe mir alle drei Versionen After Shave von Floid besorgt und bin positiv beeindruckt über den angenehmen Duft. Die Unterschiede sind sehr prägnant und genau mein Ding. Ich bin vor ein vielen Jahren von der Naßrasur mit den 4- und mehr Klingen Rasieren, weggekommen und hab auf Elektrorasur gewechselt. Am Wochenende habe ich mir die Zeit genommen mich mit Rasierhobeln, auf "alte Art" zu rasieren Ich probiere gerade mehrere "Alte" Düfte aus, wie z.B.: Irish Moos, Hattrick, Old Spice, Tabac, Ralon, aber auch verschiedene AXE Produkte...., aber Floid hat das meiste Interesse geweckt da meine Frau es auch mag ;-)

Dopobarba molto fresco e profumato, il suo odore ricorda i fantastici odori delle antiche barberie di un tempo. La linea floid è il TOP dei dopobarba, avendone acquistato uno per ogni tipo posso dire che sono uno migliore dell'altro con le giuste diversità ma tutti molto buoni. Lo consiglio vivamente per i veri appassionati di prodotti di antiche tradizioni di barbieri.
