More expensive than other tools but works really well. I made a full 24 port patch panel and a few wall sockets and cable-to-cable couplers without an issue. One useful thing thing is that each blade has a cutting and non-cutting variant. I used a non-cutting one in cases where the cables were too short so I wouldn't have a second chance would something go wrong.

I bought a similar tool for about £2.50. It didn't last too well. It took quite some searching to find this good quality robust version. Most of what is listed is the cheap type. This works well, comes with a spare blade and the blades are reversible so that you can punch down without cutting. It's really not worth buying the cheap version unless you will use it only a handful of times.

Good product, we have used lots of them. Seem to do the job well.

I’ve spent far too long struggling with an old BT type kroning tool we all use to use for doing the master and slave phone sockets to do CAT5e/6 data points and racks. Got one of these after seeing several data /I.T chaps using them - so glad I did, the punch down tip and cutter is really slender and strong, it also has a reversible punch down tip and a variable pressure release on the punch down tool. My old knone tool really looks nice in the bin

I've own a few punch tools over the years that have done a job for me. I didn't realise how poor they were until I bought this, it's on another level. It's so much easier to wire faceplates etc. with this punch tool.

Don't waste your money on any of the other punch down tools - they all appear to be made by the same manufacturer and are rubbish. I had two of the generic type before buying this TRENDnet type and the former were useless - trying to punch down patch panels and wall modules took an age and resulted in extremely poor connections, or no connections at all. After despairing of the time it was taking and the constant issues, failures and cuts and scrapes with the generic tool I splashed out and bought the TRENDnet tool. Fantastic! What a difference - chalk and cheese! Every connection was made first time and without trauma. This tool is a must if you intend doing any number of network connections.

I previously bought a cheaper tool and It made my job a mess, and then Immediately I looked for another good tool which is not so expensive, this was the best fit and once it arrived I noticed it is a really good quality and well built tool. this helped me to complete my job easily. I would recommend this to anyone.
