The author does great in making many complex topics digestible. It is a fantastic read for anyone wanting to learn or add context of what happens in a supply chain environment.

Had a lot of relevant content that was easily understandable.

Supply Chains are the networks, platforms, and ecosystems that enable commerce and trade, around the world. If you can sense it in any way, there's a supply chain associated with it.That makes supply chains an important subject for everyone to understand.I recommended Supply Chain Management for Dummies as a supplementary textbook to the students in my Spring 2020 Supply Chain & Operations Management Course at New York University's Tandon School of Engineering because it eschews unnecessary jargon and explains concepts in a straightforward manner.This book is a great place to start for any seeking to develop a better understanding of supply chains.Note: Daniel Stanton is an investor in REFASHIOND Ventures, which is the supply chain tech venture fund I am building. Though, he invested in the fund in 2021. I discovered and purchased a previous version of this book, in 2020.REFASHIOND Ventures invests in early-stage startups refashioning global, industrial supply chains through scalable networks, platforms, ecosystems, and information infrastructure; Defensible through economic moats. The fund was launched in July 2021.

I recently had the opportunity to read "Supply Chain Management" and I have to say, it's an excellent resource for anyone looking to understand the basics of supply chain management.What I appreciated most about this book is the author's ability to explain complex supply chain concepts in an easy-to-understand manner. Stanton breaks down everything from procurement and inventory management to transportation and logistics in a way that is both approachable and informative.Another thing I appreciated is the emphasis on collaboration and communication within the supply chain. Stanton stresses the importance of working closely with suppliers, customers, and other stakeholders to build strong relationships and ensure smooth operations.Overall, I would highly recommend this book to anyone who is new to the field of supply chain management or looking to brush up on their knowledge. It's a great starting point for understanding the fundamentals of supply chain management, and it's written in a way that is engaging and easy to follow.

Nice refresher

The media could not be loaded. Supply Chain Management for Dummies is a necessary read for any business person who needs a quick and accessible summary of how supply chains work as well as a reference book to dive into certain topics in more detail. Supply chain ‘experts’ should also read the book because it covers the areas in which they are not experts (few are ‘end-to-end’ experts). Buy, skim, reference.

An absolute, “must read” for novice to experts. The content is vast and the author’s perspective (and research) is practical and actionable. Daniel truly simplify a complex and constantly evolving field without getting lost in generic gibberish. Great and fun read with endless examples and cases! Well done!!
