This thermal paste worked extremely well for repasting my laptop. Temperatures dropped noticeably almost immediately after applying it, and the fans don’t ramp up nearly as aggressively anymore under load. The laptop simply runs cooler and quieter overall now. Performance-wise, this paste definitely lives up to the reputation ARCTIC products have built over the years. It transfers heat very effectively and seems especially good for laptops, consoles, GPUs, and other devices where temperatures can get pretty high in compact spaces. The included cleaning wipes were also surprisingly useful. They did an excellent job removing the old dried thermal paste without needing much scrubbing. The wipes do have a pretty strong chemical smell though, so using them in a ventilated area is definitely a good idea. One thing worth mentioning is the consistency. MX-6 is thicker than a lot of older thermal pastes, so it’s not the easiest paste to manually spread with a card or spatula. Using a pea or X-pattern application works much better because the pressure from the cooler spreads it evenly on its own. Once compressed, coverage is excellent. The 4g tube also goes farther than expected. Even after repasting a laptop, there’s still plenty left for future applications on CPUs, GPUs, or consoles, so the value for money is very good. Another big plus is that it’s non-conductive, which makes the application process less stressful since there’s much lower risk if a little extra paste spreads near components. Overall, this is an excellent thermal paste with strong cooling performance, long durability, good value, effective cleaning wipes, and noticeably lower temperatures and fan noise after installation. Definitely a worthwhile upgrade for older laptops, gaming consoles, or desktop PCs running hot.

My 6 year old aging laptop started to run the fan constantly. I opened it up, dusted out the fan, and used this thermal paste when reassembling. The wipes worked fine, although they had a strong lemon odor. It was more pleasant than pure alcohol smell initially, but it made me worried that there would be fragrance residue left behind instead of a purely clean surface on my processor board. Still, when reassembled, the fan now comes on much less frequently and everything works as new.

Coming from the old Arctic Silver products, this stuff is a pain to spread, so I quite trying and just add the usual "X" shaped application and it's worked great when compressed. Temps are always competitively low.

Great thermal paste! Used it to replace the old paste on my Xbox 360, and PS4. Still have plenty left to do more! The paste cleaning wipes were very good at getting rid of the old paste! Both consoles don’t get as hot as they once did! Especially the PS4, the fan isn’t spinning at commercial airline turbine speeds haha!

Works extremely well. I replaced a 95-watt TDP 6-core Xeon with a faster 130-watt TDP 6-core Xeon. Idle temp is about 5° C over ambient with the stock heatsink and the CPU fan at 0 RPM. If you're old-school, please note that this paste cannot be spread across the top of the CPU package using a spatula or razor blade like with previous generation pastes, as it will just ball up and make a mess. Note the instruction URL on the box. I used the X pattern as suggested. Note that if you choose to use the cleaning cloths it's best done in a well-ventilated space, or even outside, using gloves. The cloths are very pungent and the smell lingers. I'm very satisfied with the MX-6 product.

I used Arctic MX-6 to repaste the CPU and GPU on my HP Victus gaming laptop, and overall the results were excellent. Before the repaste, my laptop would overheat and even shut down during heavy workloads like Microsoft Flight Simulator. After applying MX-6, temperatures dropped a lot: • CPU temps stayed well below throttling • GPU temps became very stable • No more shutdowns during long gaming sessions One important thing to note: The paste is very thick and the first bit that comes out of the tube can feel dry and stringy. I recommend discarding the first small amount and then using the paste that comes out after — it becomes smooth and works perfectly. Once applied (pea/ball method), it spreads well under pressure and performs as expected. The paste is non-conductive and feels high quality. Overall, great thermal performance, especially for laptops, just be aware of the thick consistency at first.

People that complain about the smell must not be able to read. It literally tells you in the listing. Also it just smells slightly like a citrus cleaner. If you can't handle that you might need help. The thermal paste is great but slightly thick compared to other brands. So it makes it a little harder to spread if you like doing that but just know you don't have to spread it for it to work.

Great product, easy to use. I used this to fix the cold water sensor for my primo water cooler. It use to freeze over and become unusable. Now, after removing the sensor and applying the thermo paste to sensor, no issues.

The MX-6 thermal paste performs very well in heat transfer and paste application. Temperature drops were noticed immediately under load and re pasting the CPU was very simple as the paste has a slightly higher viscosity compared to MX-4. Spreading the paste for full coverage was fairly simple and quick. The MX cleaning wipes are a double edge sword compared to iso propyl alcohol. While it does a great job breaking down the old paste for clean up, it also makes the paste very runny. It does not affect any clean up per se but it does get a little messy and stain a lot of things like automotive anti seize. Finally as noted by many people in the review section, the odor of the cleaner is definitely strong. I highly recommend this job be done somewhere ventilated and throw the wipes directly in the outside trash can.

Świetny zestaw dla początkującego użytkownika, brakuje tylko łopatki do rozprowadzania jeżeli ktoś preferuje ten sposób. Przy pomocy tego zestawu nakładałem pastę 3 razy i nadal dużo zostało. Chusteczki działają magicznie, bardzo dobre również do odtłuszczania powierzchni. Pasta trzyma temperaturę genialnie.

È senza dubbio un prodotto eccezionale che ha superato le mie aspettative. Prima dell'applicazione della MX-6, il mio laptop raggiungeva temperature preoccupanti anche durante attività leggere. Dopo aver pulito e applicato questa pasta termica, ho notato un calo significativo delle temperature. Ora il mio PC non si surriscalda nemmeno quando è sottoposto a carichi di lavoro impegnativi con vari software. La consistenza della pasta è ottima e facilita l'applicazione in modo uniforme. Il tubetto ha una quantità sufficiente per diverse applicazioni, rendendo il prodotto un ottimo investimento per gli amanti dell'hardware che desiderano mantenere le loro macchine in condizioni ottimali. Unica nota negativa riguarda le salviettine fornite per la pulizia della vecchia pasta termica. Appena aperta la bustina monouso, si sprigiona un odore sgradevole derivante dal liquido impregnato. Consiglio di utilizzare queste salviettine in una stanza ben ventilata e, se possibile, di indossare i guanti per evitare che l'odore si trasferisca sulle mani. Tuttavia, questo piccolo inconveniente è trascurabile rispetto ai vantaggi evidenti ottenuti con l'uso della MX-6. In conclusione, la ARCTIC MX-6 è un must-have per chiunque desideri migliorare le prestazioni termiche del proprio dispositivo. Siempre a mis equipos le pongo lo mejor de lo mejor, en este caso es el turno de Artic con su fantástica MX-6. Tanto en reposo como en altas cargas a mejorado alguna decima las temperaturas, en un i5 6200U, Core Ultra 255H, Ryzen 7 7800X3D, Ryzen 5 9600X y en un Ivy bridge x2 en un Mac mini. También lo uso en otros equipos que no están en casa.
