Very comfortable and durable boots
Iโve had my 2.0 8โ boots for 4 months now and wear them to work every day as a plumber and on my farm. My break in process was easy and comfortable compared to other boot brands. There was a slight adjustment to the weight of the boots compared to my previous set of Danner boots. I apply Hubbard shoe grease to them every 2-3 weeks to condition and soften the leather as well as maintain the waterproof status. I canโt recommend Hubbard show grease enough! Itโs a great product to extend the longevity of your Chippewa boots. The only negative thing I can say about the boots is the vibram sole is a mud magnet but so are other boot soles. I still love them and fully expect these boots to last years instead of months compared to other brands like Danner and Redwing (per my experience with those brands)

Two Years In โ Still My Go-To Work Boot
I'm following up on this purchase after two full years of regular use, and these boots have genuinely earned a second review. The photos I've included are recent โ not out-of-the-box shots โ so what you're seeing is real-world wear. The color has shifted slightly from repeated waterproofing treatments and a recent polish, but that's maintenance, not deterioration. Everything that matters has held up exceptionally well. The plantar support remains as solid and comfortable as day one. The shaft still flexes without collapsing or losing its structure. And the soles โ check the photos โ show minimal wear for two years of hard use. If you're on the fence, I bought these to last, and they have! Worth the investment.

Low quality, poor QC and obvious cut corners to save expense in manufacturing
I'm likely to return these. I almost didn't order them because they are made in China. I've worn them once, to cut wood. They were fine. The leather is china brown. Seemed fine after greasing them. The laces are crap. I replaced them straight out of the box. No pull tabs which seems like lame cost cutting. Just now I went to put them on for the second time and I noticed the very top grommet is missing on one side of one boot. Not exactly confidence inspiring. I guess I will have to look elsewhere for an unlined pair of 8 inch work boots I can trust to last.

Really surprised at quality
Surprisingly thick leather for the price. Little snug in one toe section, so perhaps run a little small, but otherwise super nice for the price. Now the only question is will they hold up

11.D.Ok made Chippewa boots for being made in china
Well they aren't the made in USA or assembled in the USA with foreign parts they are made in China and sorry to say this but they intend to cut corners to reduce cost! Let's see how long they last is the real question? It's been almost a week since I've had these boots the left tongue on the left boot is bothering me now it's biting my shin I have to oil them soften the leather so if you buy these be sure to oil them out of the box and let them sit for a few hours and soak in use a good boot oil I use kiwi oil

These boots are NOT made in the US. They are made in China.
I ordered two pairs of Chippewa as it shows MADE IN USA (with imported materials). So if you want a boot made in the USA don't buy this. I could have purchased any other Chinese made brand if that was what I was looking for. Shame on whoever lets them get away with false information.
