I used to make wax melts and I wouldn't use diffuser oil to make them.

Can this be used like essential oil, for a room dehumidifier?

I would definitely not use this oil in a Dehumidifier! If you mean a Humidifier then I have used this oil in mine. This oil is not as strong as essential oils as it is diluted but I personally prefer a weaker fragrance. I suppose it depends on how much you use. This is a lovely scent.
