A safe and effective way to break up rock. I had a troublesome piece of shale in my driveway. I was unable to use heavy equipment to remove it due to a buried cable nearby. I drilled a series of 1-inch holes, ten inches deep on an eight-inch grid (about 30 holes total) then filled with the Dexpan slurry. In 12 hours, the rock was completely shattered and easily removed by hand. I was able to use a funnel to fill the holes as the mixed product is about the consistency of pancake mix.

The Product really does work. I live in Northern Maine and we have a lot of huge garnet rock. I needed to remove this rock so as not to hit it while plowing snow in the winter time. I had a friend with an a Large Linkbelt Excavator try to move it, the Excavator could not even budge it, the machine stood up on its side, with rock not even budging. So then someone told me of this product and though I would give it a try, for the price, its worth a try. Not really believing that it would, so I proceeded to do as the instructions read, however, I only had a 1" drill bit and drilled the proper amount of holes as needed. Mixed and poured into the holes and walked away for 48 hours and its doing the job. Many people are asking does it really work, I have taken pictures of the cracking so as to show them, and of course the rock missing is also a testimony to the produce.

After drilling the holes and adding the Dexpan I let it work for a week. Everyday I would check it and notice cracks in the rock getting larger. It may take several applications for larger rocks.

Not enough product for the price

I ordered this product to break this large rock in 2 parts, before receiving the product I already started drilling the holes however, I only had a 1 inch bit. Later when the product arrived I realized I didn't have my holes spaced correctly how they wanted them and I didn't have them as deep as I should. But understand my drill bit was only 1 inch wide by 14 inches long and to go any longer or bigger then I would have had to buy a bigger drill and bit and that was too costly for this project. So I used what I had and it worked extremely well. My rock was over 3 feet thick and 6 feet wide and not able to move it until I had it in 2 pcs. Thank you very much guys, awesome product, I love it!

we used this product attempting to remove a 6-8 inch concrete slab on a house we are renovating. weather conditions appear to affect the effectiveness of the product. it took longer than 24 hours to break the concrete as well. we did this in sections. the first took 7 days to really crack well. the temp dropped on the second section and it didn't crack. we had selected the option that should have fit our average temps. I'm sure this would work well for thicker slabs and boulders, but pay attention to the directions. saved us some labor so was worth the price. start along the edges of your concrete. it has to have space to move as it cracks.

interesting stuff. I live in a 35deg environment with humidity 70% plus. Nothing happened at first but I expected this as I had to use holes smaller than the recommended size and I was mixing the ratios smaller but in proportion. However left for 72 hours stuff happened and it did break apart the shower floor in to sizeable chunks. The concrete I had to break up did not have re-bar but was a foundation of concrete bricks with cement pour to cover - over a 1.5 ft thick - in an apartment block . This was well out of the normal job description for Dexpan and it did a fairly decent job - 8.5 out of 10.

This stuff is amazing for thick concrete. It will save you from the jackhammer and save you a lot of time in general

Used successfully to break up some large boulders in the garden. Did require some hard work to drill the holes to accept the grout but got there in the end.

We expected to demolish the colomb fadter as show in the video but it give 10% only

They suggest 1- 1/2" hole dia, but my 1" holes yielded better than expected results. I've used 3 buckets of the stuff this week. Note* Mix well and mix again and again. It really settles in the bucket no matter how fast you work. Mix 1- 1/2 litres of water in the original bucket if you are using all of it. I fill about 20 -25 x 1" dia 8" deep holes with 1 bucket. Drill more holes than you expect to use, as this stuff doesn't keep long. Will use more of this stuff earlier and save a LOT of tedious work w the feathers next time.

Really impressed with the product considered I was skeptical. I had a fairly large granite Rock that I have been wanting to get rid of for years but it was much to heavy to move. Tried drilling holes in it, used a concrete saw to cut into it .. for the life of me I could not break it down into smaller pieceS due to its size. This product did what I couldn’t do within 24hrs. A little pricy but considering it resolve a long due problem for me worth every penny. Amazing and thank you for the great product. I showed my parents and friends and my dad has already purchased and used it on some large rocks at the cottage he wanted gone. Works there as well. MAKE sure to follow instructions exactly as described. In my cases I divided the volume into 3 so I gave myself 3 attempts to achieve what I needed since I had more than I needed for my rocks. It did the jump 1st time around... used a second batch to break down the rock even more... all I can saw is amazing :)
