HQST 100 Watt 12 Volt Monocrystalline Solar Panel Kit with 30A PWM LCD Display Charge Controller

Very cool set-up, I like this a lot. I use this on my motorhome as a backup/alternate battery charger. out of the box I wired it up in the drive way. The solar panel was putting out 21.74 volts, the charge controller powered up after I connected the batteries. The system worked very well and was charging my batteries from a makeshift set-up. Note: Download the user manual (PDF) for the charge controller, change the "Load Mode" to 15 to get the USB port to work, USB is "OFF" in the default setting.

車両に取り付け、キャンパーの電源として利用。 90Dクラスのバッテリー２個に充電。 コントローラーは表示が大きめで使いやすいのでデザインは良いものの、取り付けて早い内にUSB端子は壊れて使えなくなりました。充電自体は問題なくそのまま使用して、３年３ヶ月経って故障、充電電圧が制御出来なくなりました。ソーラーパネルはまだ使えています。 後日購入した同型もやはりUSBはすぐに壊れました。

The kit is good, reliable, and suits our needs for maintaining the one deep cell marine battery on our Pop-Up trailer. HQST does not have a phone number but they will reply back to your email with questions you have. Since they are a sister company of Renogy, Renogy helped me on the phone to obtain the necessary battery cable I needed to purchase in addition to the HQST kit (battery cable is not included). The over kit was simple to set up as long as you follow the simple instructions provided by HQST and break down in reverse order. We were out for a few days & did not get ample charge to the battery during cloudy periods which we expected at least a fair charge, although when the sun was behind the trees charge was fair. But in the sun the charge was great. From a 60 % charge to 100 % would only take a couple hours. When using the USB to charge our cell phone in the Controller it takes a lot from the battery. Did not expect that either. It rained one day & the panel was fine. With the approximate 30 degree angle, the terminal box on the panel was protected underneath. The controller was under the front of the Pop-Up trailer near the battery on the tongue placed on a piece of wood as not to be on the tongue itself so it was out of the rain. We planned this ahead of time. We payed attention the to charge flow so we could be conservative with battery usage in the trailer to be safe. Something to consider. Overall, very satisfied.
