If you are looking for a true non-stick omelette maker, then you have found it! I had previously used two, different brand of the round style that had 2 half moon shaped cavities and Teflon coating. Even when new I had to use some kind of non-stick spray or oil and still had sticking issues and got fed up with them and cleaning would take as long as the cooking. I was careful and only used non-abrasive methods to clean with. So I did some research on the Red Copper 5 Minute cooker and decided to give it a try even though I really doubted the claims of non-stick and 5 minute cooking! From day one of cooking identical omelettes I have not used the first drop of any non-stick spray or oil! My omelettes can literally be slid onto a plate by holding the handles and tilting - it's really that easy. Cleanup is a simple napkin or paper towel wet on one side with warm water - wipe out with the wet side and dry with the other, no scrubbing whatsoever! The 5 minute cooking claim is more subjective to how done you like your food, but if you like eggs sunny side up, you can probably have those in about 3 minutes after heating up, around 3-5 minutes for the green ready lite to come on. Okay, so if you haven't watched the YouTube videos on this, you can actually flip the omelette maker over and cook/brown your food on the other side if you like which is a great feature that I haven't seen on any other product. The only thing to remember is that there is no handle on the rear edge due to the hinges and you will need some protection from the hot surface if you choose to use that method of turning/flipping sides. I just grasp the front handles and lift and turn to flip to the opposite side and it works well. Maybe they will add a handle to a future model. I was a little confused by seeing 2 different models that looked identical, so I went to the Red Copper web site and found that the higher priced version that I bought actually had a second coating on the surface and I can't speak to any difference of performance or wear, but I would expect the one with the second coating to last longer - we'll see! Performance rating on Non-stick surface - Excellent and couldn't imagine anything better; 5 Minute cooking claim - Believable/Accurate all depending on your personal preferences - my skepticism of the claims have thankfully been erased and I can highly recommend this product!

Makes great grilled cheese sandwiches. It's not great for grilling onions or sausage links though, they both leave a sticky burnt on mess be cause of the sugar in the ingredients I'm guessing. It also makes fluffy scrambled eggs just the way my mom likes them. It is easy to wipe clean on the cooking surface but it is hard to clean out the hinged area and the red paint tends to flake/rub or rub off when being wiped down. Also it tends to drip out gunky moisture and grease from the hinged area where the cord comes out making a mess on the counter top. Still it does make really great grilled sandwiches :-)

I use this little omelet cooker every morning and find it both easy to use and great for cooking eggs. I don't understand how anyone could cause this cooker to explode - ridiculous. Easy to use - browns easily and particularly easy to fry over-easy eggs (will cook 3 JUMBO eggs fine). I have found it well worth the $ and recommend it to anyone who cooks for one or two people or a picky child.

Excellent product. The ease of use and clean up were very much appreciated. Keep making products like this one.

It is limited as to what you can cook if any juices are produced! How do you get them out when the device is hot?Yes it is good for omelettes, but it is limited to 3 fish fingers or sausages at a time because of the inner oval shape.A timer would be good, or at least a automatic switch off before the contents get burnt or a temperature control knob.The recepie book was not very helpful and rather limited for general use. I was disappointed.However the overall design is neat, colourful and easy to store.

this works really good for cooking breakfast for my granddaughter, easy to clean and dot have to mess up kitchen. we love it.

Great little machine for quick snacks or lunches for one or two. Easy to clean. Wish it were twice as big.

My 87 year old mother loves her new red cooker to warm her meals in and make her favorite grilled cheese sandwiches! It is easy to use, quick and easy to clean!
