Fly exterminator
Impressive. Really, when I bought and read that this can catch up to 20k flies, I was like "why do I need to exterminate all the flies in London?".But when you are in your clean home and manage to kill a fat fly that explodes into mini larvae (disgusting) you gotta try different alternatives. When this arrived, all I had to do is add water and the powder (which stinks like sh*t, but I guess this attracts the flies). It's written that you gotta hang 15m from your home (I have a back garden and I left it there). There reason, I guess, that this needs to be 15m from you home is because it really stinks like someone pooped in a drawer, closed it and someone opened the drawer 1 year after. It's bad.. BUT I DON'T CARE. The flies are gone!! hahahahaha they are all inside this bag drowning. The photo attached was taken only two days after I hanged and I guess there are more than 100 flies already.Would rate 6 stars if possible.

Erradicated flies from house.
Mine didn't come with instructions. I found instructions on Amazon but instead of using 1 litre of warm water I put in just over half a litre as I didn't want to risk the bag splitting. I have hung it from the bird food hanger about five feet off the ground. It is about 30 feet from my house. So far the smell isn't noticeable unless you get very close to it. I have only hung it up two days ago and already there are what appear to be hundreds of dead flies; so I am obviously doing my neighbours a favour too! The main reason I bought this was because I was having flies come into the house. Within one day I have no flies in the house.

This is the best product ever
This is the best product ever! I have not noticed any smell having sited it about 12-15 metres from house. It has been up about 10 days and now contains hundreds and hundreds of flies. We've had the odd fly in the house but nothing like the plague we had b4 I bought this. Will definitely keep buying them.

Disgusting but effective
This revolting contraption certainly did it's job, but it was one of the most disgusting things I have ever witnessed or smelled! Within a few days there was a layer of dead flies about an inch thick and after a week that had tripled. It was only the occasion of our big annual barbecue that caused me to take it down, as the sight and smell was not going to encourage our guests to have another sausage.I've knocked a star off for the total lack of instructions for how to set it up, where best to place it and how to dispose of it afterwards. Just a photocopied A5 sheet would have been sufficient. If you have a large garden and somewhere out the way that you can hang one of these then I recommend it. If your garden is small then be aware that it ain't pretty and the smell will really put you off your food!

Doesn't work for Cluster Flies
I bought this as we live in the countryside and every spring we get hundreds of cluster flies emerging and mating and swarming all over my white car at the front of the house. We assembled the trap as directed, placed in the sun, only meters away from where the flies were swarming and it didn't catch a single fly. We changed its location a couple of times to no avail, Cluster Flies are simply not interested. Maybe it was a dudd trap as the mixture was supposed to smell disgusting but once you mixed the powder with water you could barely smell it. Returning.

Kills a lot of flies but doesn't dent the population
This thing takes weeks to start working properly but when it does it starts filling up quickly. Hard to say how much impact it's had on the flies inside as we have fly screens up now as well. At the very least it's extremely satisfying to watch so many horrible stinky flies lay to waste.Edit:Now in September the trap was literally full to the brim and absolutely stank. I could smell it from a good 10 meters away when the breeze was in the right direction, so I finally decided to take it down. Getting rid of it was vile and required several bin bags and coinciding with bin day. It did indeed attract hundreds of flies but once maggots formed and hatched, the trap filled up with flies exponentially in the last few weeks. Despite the trap my fly screen door would still have dozens of flies sitting on the outside when evening came. I think whatever benefit the trap gave was pretty negligible. The only way something like this would work sufficiently is if every house had a couple front and back. I recommend just biting the bullet and fitting fly screens to everything - after trying everything this summer that was the only method that worked.

Absolutely fantastic
This has been hanging up in the garden for 8 days. As you can see from the photo, it has one or two dead flies in it!Yes, that black is thousands of dead flies. Suffice to say, this works unlike any other fly catcher! It arrives flat packed, you add the powder and some water and hang it up. That's it. Just make sure it's well away from your house. I can only describe the smell of the powder as a dead corpse. The instructions say to top up with water every 7 days but it's so gross I'm going to let it dry out and get another one. Worth every penny.
