The right rear tail light got cracked on our vintage Lexus RX 330 and we needed to replace it. Not going to go with the factory on a 19-20 year old car--we're just running this one until it's done. So, went looking for a replacement and found this one.Astonishingly, well made, well fitting, easy to do in about 1 hour in the driveway, and pretty much indistinguishable from the original.A few notes:1) Wiggling the bulbs loose can require a flat blade screw driver to depress various tongues and lips on the bulbs; I found I could get all but one out while the fixture was in the car, then had to ease the last one out on a very short wire once I had the old one out.2) There are three 10 mm nuts you have to loosen and then eventually tighten and they are on LONG shaft bolts; most sockets won't fit.3) Have a 10 mm solid combination (open at one end, closed at the other in a hexed pattern) wrench with a long stem--some of the reaches are pretty far4) The rubber seal on my light was turned around and backwards; as soon as you turn it around, it fits great and all the wires and bulbs fit through the right holes to the right place.5) About 45" to an hour for a shade tree mechanic.

The wiring harness was too short to be connected. See the comparison of new vs old in picture. I had to re-use the old harness with old corroded connectors and brittle housings. What a STUPID mistake.

Replacement

After 4 months, the tail light has ooze running out of it. Seems like something melted. Will have to replace. Beware!
