Blackstar Fly 103 Speaker Black Additional Speaker for the Fly 3 Mini amp

Excellent product. I have big amps and small amps for guitars and bass and recently purchased two fly 3 amps for my electro acoustic guitar and mic. Using them with the little additional extension cabinate. Great sound unlike other belt clip on amps and mini amps I had in the past that very quickly lost any quality that they did have.I use these fly 3's for acoustic jams, with an sm58 mic into one of them just to project my singing a little more. Obviously not for gigs. The bass amp is great too and I mainly wanted this to give my fretless acoustic bass a tad more projection. Does the job. Wouldn't use it to turn up loud as the nature of the lower frequency it doesn't work so amazingly very loud.Recommended if using as I am, to slightly amplify acoustic jams etc but not gigs although may be great too for busking.Try it!

I got the fly 3 as a gift and thought it was ok, nothing special, but I have a nice amp already so have used it only occasionally as a mono speaker for my phone. I decided to get the extra speaker as some PC speakers had become faulty and thought for an extra few bucks I could have a nice stereo speaker set.WOW!!What a great sound these blackstars give off. Very crisp and clean , no fuzz on the bass, very full sound. Very satisfactory volume level without compromising the sound quality too much. To be honest it would be a travesty to own the fly 3 without adding the 103 at some point as it improves the sound quality sooo much.Definitely improves its performance as a guitar amp too , actually very versatile and il be using it for that purpose more.Only small criticism is the length of the connection cable. Have ordered an extension..hope it works!

It was so cheap i had to have one and am so glad that i did. The Fly is great on its own but the extension speaker takes it to the next level.

A quality box to twin with the Blackstar FLY mini-amp and together they make a good sound as long as you acknowledge the obvious limitations. I do have two reservations that will need time to resolve. The amp that twins with this can be powered by battery (making it ultimately portable) but I wonder how long these batteries will last if you are asking them to power both units; time will tell but I have invested additional funds for a mains PSU (not supplied with these units) to use at home. Secondly, the connecting cable fitted to the extension box uses an RJ11 plug similar to those you will find on a telephone; personal experience tells me these will eventually break if plugged/unplugged regularly even with careful use. The other end is fixed within the box case so it won't be a simple case of buying a replacement cable should the fitted one fail.

Great value for money

Great tone, and surprisingly high volume for such a small amp. Battery life is very very good. I got the main fly 3 amp for my birthday, and bought this extension cabinet with an Amazon voucher that same day. Been playing mine every day for the last six weeks without having to replace the batteries . It works really well with pedals too. Perfect for jamming out in the garden on a sunny day. The amp on it's own is great, with the extension cabinet it's just brilliant.

This may be one of the best guitar purchases I have ever made.. seriously. I use a 400 watt marshall mode 4 and this 3 watt blackstar has a better clean channel... and some much better low gain tones... I cannot believe it! For those who cant find time to practice.. this is more than perfect. More suited to blues and rock possibly (not a screaming metal lead machine) but, AWESOME!I have since purchased the extension cab and AC adapter for 6 watts of brilliant guitar tone. The battery life is spooky!only one problem... you will want a bigger Blackstar.. I do!I doth my cap....
