Esschert Design Crystal Barometer with Cast Iron Stand, Clear 13.9 x 12 x 27.7 cm (TH31)

This item was well packed with everything that you need to get it up and running (apart from the water!) The glasswork looks good (very fragile) but is securely held in the attractive wrought iron wall hanger. There is a syringe for filling it and a small packet with blue powder for colouring the water. Don't be alarmed thinking that the powder must have spilt out because there is only a little, but there is ample enough to colour the water. Ensure that you have securely fastened the wall hanger then take great care in filling the glass vial and hanging it on its hook. Makes an attractive conversation piece which actually works and should last many years. Very pleased with this item.

I bought this as a Christmas present for my mum and we both love it. I was a little disappointed with the box - It looks cheap. The barometer itself it beautiful and the box really doesn't do it justice. Very good quality, and more importantly, it works! It comes with blue dye to colour the water so make it easier to see. The instructions are a little poor but it's pretty self explanitory and a bit of trial and error over how much to fill it, and away you go. It feels well made and good quality. It's heavier than I thought, too. It's easy to wall mount and looks lovely.

My husband was bought one of these as a present and liked it so much we decided to buy this as a present for a relative. It looks lovely in the garden and is something different. Not sure whether it's the drop in pressure making the liquid rise or the heat from the sun as it is in a sunny position but whatever it is it looks very attractive.

This barometer is a wonderful gift for those hard to figure out what to get them people. Whether for mother in law, Aunt, birthday, Xmas, or especially house warming, it's perfect. The cast iron stand adds to its charm and makes it even more special and looks good in any room.

Arrived well packaged, always a worry with glass! Good value for money, it's a decent size. I'm always worried if things are gonna be minute! It's easy to set up and now hanging in our pergola, is very eye catching. I'm well pleased and would definitely recommend! :)

A really lovely item and appreciated by the recipient, as it was a gift. The liquid supplied (not powder as detailed in the listing) has failed to colour the water. It was very light beige when initially added (like very weak tea) but has now faded back to clear. The product support link doesn’t work, so I’ll have to find my own solution, hence the 3 stars. If the colour had worked it would. E 5 stars.

Fabulous - very unusual gift for my pal who has a thatched cottage. I thought it might predict thunderstorms and save the thatch. Only wish I had a porch as it is very attractive. Quite heavy, so would recommend a decent fixing.

Funciona perfectamente. Detecta los cambios de presión de una forma muy curiosa. No tiene instrucciones de llenado. La jeringa es muy práctica, pero se agradecería alguna indicación de la cantidad de líquido. Siguiendo indicaciones ajenas, lo pusimos en horizontal sobre la espalda plana y lo llenamos hasta que el agua (destilada) llegó hasta los dos “picos” de los extremos de la botella. Resulta la cantidad perfecta de agua para que al colgarlo, el pitorro se llene de suficiente líquido como para apreciar las fluctuaciones por las diferencias de presión. El tinte en polvo es sumamente concentrado. Con una cantidad similar a una cabecilla de alfiler es suficiente para teñirlo. Atención al paquetito donde vienen el tornillo, la tuerca (del que se cuelga la botella de cristal) y la bolsita del tinte, porque vienen envueltos en un papelillo que es fácil tirar en un descuido. Están en la cazoleta de la base de forja. Resumiendo, es un artículo que perfectamente sirve para regalar y quedar bien. Es muy original, estético y puede resultar practico. Recomendado para compra.

livré plus tôt que prévu, dans un carton, son carton et polystyrène, la carafe est intacte mais reste fragile, en verre, le socle fonte est joli, champêtre. Je n'ai toujours pas mis le liquide bleu, demain avec de l'eau filtrée de ma Brita (à voir). Je vais le suspendre dans un coin de ma salle dans les tons bleu et turquoise, à côté de tableaux, c'est une belle déco chic en été! s'il y a du vent et pluie dans notre Bretagne, il nous le dira et c'est suffisant ;) prix qui varie, parfois fort. A recommander comme cadeau aussi!

Très joli objet. La précision n'est forcément pas au top, mais ce n'est pas ce qu'on attend de ce type d'objet. A l'air relativement fragile mais arrive dans un emballage de bonne qualité et semble bien tenir dans le temps malgré tout

Mum loves it, she checks it throughout the day and is thoroughly enjoying having it and learning all the weather ins and outs, plus it’s gorgeous to look at. Worth noting that the colour powder or whatever that came with it was rather lacking colour (first pic) so Mum added a couple of drops of food colouring as per their suggestion to get the desired colour (second pic).
