Would this be any good for curtains - I plan to interline/line it? Made some 30 years ago and they were fab, but don't know which weight I used.

Well, I used calico years ago for curtains, This is between a lining material and calico in my opinion. Hope this is helpful?

I want to make advent calenders but the stuff I have is too thin it doesnt hang properly,do you think this is?

I think the fabric you have chosen for your advent calendar maybe too thin .. but if you want to use it then you could try doubling it up if you have enough and slipping thin cardboard between to give it substance... or even using starch /or starch spray to stiffen it a little that might work .. good luck
