Works wonderfully!
This product worked wonderful for a frame I had that was light colored/tan. My decor is mostly ash/gray. It came out evenly and was easy to apply. I wish this was made in a cherry wood color so I could do more. I would definitely buy again.

Not bad - just hard to get out of the bottle
I am using this to stain miniature wooden floors in a dollhouse. Its very sheer so I had to do quite a few coats. Biggest complaint is that it doesn't come out enough. I ended up pulling the sponge top off and just dipping a paint brush in it. Maybe user error?? idk. Overall not bad though and better than buying a big can I will never use again.

Applied this about 2 weeks ago and it's still sticky, the coverage isn't good either. Waste of money

I would ab stain
The stain is easy enough to apply but a little runny and not thick enough for my taste, it barely showed up on the item I used it on.

I’m not sure about longevity or sheerness
Not sure about some of the review worthy questions but all in all, this stuff is great! I don’t expect the sponge is going to hold out for super long but hopefully long enough for the container to get used for the most part. That’s more of a me issue than anything else though. Hence why I have a stockpile of sponge brushes. But this is so much easier.

Stain is good, dispenser is not
I like the varathane stain. The sponge dispenser is a bad idea. I find it clogs a lot and doesn’t dispense the stain evenly. Don’t waste your money on this one just buy the regular can.
