Garden Blower/Vac
The media could not be loaded. Both my front and back garden are surrounded by huge trees, which shed loads of leaves from the start of Autumn right through to the onset of Winter. I've previously used my lawnmower to collect those leaves that fell on the garden, and for the rest that fell on pathways and floral beds, I would collect by a rake and hand. Of course, collecting leaves is a hard, laborious and time-consuming job. Your back breaks and your heart aches when you check back in a couple of days and observe a new deluge of leaves fallen on the ground. This garden vac/blower was cheaper than its competitors, and I was a bit hesitant before I purchased it. Thankfully, my fears have been allayed. It was easy to construct and assemble. The instructions were simple to follow and the guidelines for usage were clear. The cable comes in a long 6-metre length, which I joined to my extension cable to ensure I had complete access to both front and back gardens. The bag is of a generous 35-litre capacity and it is still comfortable to hold when full. There is a strap that fits comfortably over the shoulder and ensures that the weight is evenly distributed and manageable. The powerful 2600 Watt motor lifts even the most stubborn of wet leaves from any surface and blows them into heaps. Equally as important, the powerful suction helps collect leaves simply and effectively. I purposefully raised the tube a few inches above the leaves, to see if they could be sucked up. I was pleasantly surprised to see them drawn to it like a magnet, which was very encouraging, as they shot up the tube, on their way to being mulched before entering the bag. It then mulches them, so space is maximised and the leaves are compacted in the most efficient manner. When the bag is full, unattach it, from each side. It is advisable to take a black bin liner with you, so the contents of the garden vac bag can be emptied into it. If you have a garden waste wheelie bin, the debris can disposed of in there. Most of the leaves I have picked up were wet, but the machine coped admirably with this. If you have been collecting leaves when they are wet, I would suggest leaving the bag open when you have finished, so that it dries completely as no moisture will be retained. The unit doesn’t take up much space, and can easily be stored in a garage or shed.Brilliant value at just £ 29.95. I've used it 4 times already and it is a brilliant and productive performer. My gardens, pathways, patio, decking and flower beds have never looked more tidy in Autumn and I expect they will also look presentable in Winter. Fully recommended and more than a match for more expensive models.

If yours stops working, read this!
I bought this 4½ years ago, after months of researching and wondering if I would be physically able to use it. I am nearly 6 foot, but I have pretty severe M.E. and Fibromyalgia. In the end, it was the 65 year old, short lady's photo and review that was the deciding factor. Unfortunately for me, it WAS waaay too heavy, and made me really ill and exhausted for a couple of weeks after using it.I have a friend who helps me out occasionally, and she's used it a few times. This time around however, it appeared that it had stopped working. There was sound, but it wasn't picking up, or blowing. We then noticed that the lever for turning it from blowing to collecting was stuck half way between the two. This gave me the idea that it might be blocked in some way. Sure enough, when the bag was taken off, that area, behind where the lever is, was chock a block full of compacted wet soil and leaves. She managed to dig this out with an old skewer, and it worked again!!I realise, at the time of writing this (May 2021), this model is no longer available, but I noticed that quite a few people's reviews had said it had stopped working. Hopefully, this might help someone get their's working again!

blown away!
65 yr old gardening lady, put this together in a matter of minutes.I had previously borrowed a neighbours vac and since I am short, 4'11", found the wheels a nuisance, particularly since I have a mostly gravel back yard. This wheel-free lightweight vac with strap adjusted to the right angle, worn across the body was just the ticket. Effective at picking up leaves and grass cutting debris the job was done in no time.My dog barked at it initially but when I turned it to blow to send her ball racing across the patio she saw it as a game.My 10 yr old nephew asked if it was really a Jedi Warrior blaster! I said yes!look I'm adding a picture and laugh if you will but it wasn't taken for a fashion parade but for a giggle.Less Jedi Warrior, more little old lady who should have worn a bra. Heck, I just pulled my togs on quickly so I could test out this new toy.A month later still going strong. Must add that the shredder is great and macerates quite finely, even damp leaves. The only minor bung up I got was my fault, stuffing the end into a soggy pile of leaves. It's best approached from the perimeter. Two months on most of the leaves are down now but I'm still using the sucker!Walking the dog I come back with muddy boots or sand in the dogs wet suit turn-ups so the patio and porch decking get this dumped on it.Have to tell you, this Vacuum is great for getting the grooves of decking clean!!This vacuum maybe my new best friend.Maybe my only one? 😁

Light yet powerful
The blower arrived quickly. It was not so easy to assemble as the parts are a very tight fit and have to be connected exactly in-line - however, the upshot of this is that the parts are a very tight fit without slackness or "wobble".In use, I found it lighter than my neighbours "famous make" blower, and the blower was far more powerful - as it uses the smaller-diameter lower tube rather than an all-in-one blow/suck tube. It sucked up damp leaves without any problems and reduced them, but I'd not think it was 10:1, more like 4:1 - but better than nothing (like my neighbour's "famous make". I had no blockages and filled the bag 4 times - although here I found the process of emptying the bag awkward - the zipped bag is easy to empty, but as the bag is not so easy to remove from the blower, I just didn't have enough hands to hold the blower, open the bag and encourage the compacted leaves out. However, that was first-time use and I may have missed a trick or ten!All in all, happy with the purchase and I hope nothing happens to make me change my mind.
